UKPS - UK Protection Services - another joke of a PPC?

When I was in Chorley yesterday I had another look at Gala Bingo's car park to see if the PCN-UK Ltd signs had reappeared or not, which they haven't. While I was there I noticed two blokes wearing shirts and ties and carrying briefcases who appeared to park up in a black BMW and wander off into Gala Bingo. A minute or so later they came back out into the car park and seemed to be having some kind of meeting with two Gala staff, one was in a suit (the manager?).
I had a look at the BMW and noticed a yellow ticket in the windscreen, on closer inspection the yellow ticket was a "Parking Permit" issued by UK Protection Services and had their rubbish shield and crown logo on it.

It looks like they might be taking over the Gala Bingo Chorley contract. There's definitely some kind of link between PCN-UK Ltd and UK Protection Services as only the other day the PCN-UK website was redirecting people to their website and there's been a link between them mentioned before on the PCN-UK thread. I'm guessing the company consists of more of Ashford Sheridan-Wood's dodgy bouncer mates.

What's the betting Gala Bingo have binned off PCN-UK Ltd because their head office got so many complaints and now Ashford has suggested they use his mate's company instead. He's probably best mates with the manager of Gala in Chorley.

Does anyone have any interesting facts about UK Protection Services? Other than their website has almost as many spelling and grammar mistakes as the old PCN-UK one. Has anyone had any dealings with them before? Or does anyone know if they have any other car parks that they cover?

  • Don't know much about them but there's no way of contacting them. When you go to their contact page there is a box for the Captcha word but no word is given or a box for it.

We know how important it is to make the right impression
    (Edinburgh page)
Who also have the current UK threat as SUBSTANTIAL (main page)
Only out of date by 13 days (from the link to MI5 page)
The current threat level is assessed as SEVERE (as of 22nd January 2010)
and can spell betterer than me:
OUR HIGHLY VISABLE WHEEL CLAMPING SIGNS ARE MORE THAN A 95% DETTERENT

my Google translator has just blown a main fuse;)
  • So the answer is the same for all the questions eh.
    I bet its something like:-
As they have illegally parked we reserve the rite to charge, clamp, tow and destroy any vehicle without a permit.

The latin on their logo is wrong - missing an r in "sevire" [sic]. Nice touch.

CAN I CLAMP ON MY OWN LAND?

YES YOU CAN CLAMP ON YOUR OWN LAND BUT THE LAW STATES IF YOU DEMAND A RELEASE FEE YOU NEED TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE SECURITY INDUSTRY AUTHORITY AS A VEHICHLE IMMOBILISER.

So who has the clamp? Who puts the clamp on? And who has to be registered? From the FAQ it has to be someone at Gala Bingo Chorley and therefore there is no point in employing UKPS to do it!!

I hope Gala Bingo Chorley were impressed with all the shouting :)
