    Well done!

Why continue to overpay mortgage, would it be an idea to pay just wht is due anduse that against debt. Thats what I spent all Friday working out and to go interest only (which is not what I am suggesting you do) meant clearing debt earlier and thus reducing interest.

It may be an idea to check snowball to see by how much interest you would save (it might be more than you are paying off mortgage) and how quickly you could clear your debt.

Just an idea, and if I am sticking my unwanted nose into your business, sorry xx

Oh I know about wanting to get mortgage down ASAP. I was shocked to find out that if I pay interest only for 1 year, after that I only need to pay £30 extra a month to get it back to where it would have been before!

I read another diary on here, when, after paying off debt, the OP kept up same level of payments but instead of debt which had gone, they threw it all at the mortgage and cleared that in 5 years!
