    I think he means book one near my flat, then make a pit stop at my flat address and call up saying ive broken down and need to reschedule....

    Phone a mobile mechanic. Ask them to come out inspect the vehicles and do pre MOT checks and if he feels they will pass to take them for the MOT's.

    Yes you might pay a few hours labour but this way you are passing the buck of transporting them and also sorting any minor jobs before it gets to the garage as well as getting an idea if its worth trying to MOT them.

    The only comment I would make is if you are not the executor of the will/beneficiary be careful that you are legally entitled to move or do anything with them.
