The £5.99 is for the first 3 months as far as I can see, then £11.99 per month.
Will that be the only amount to pay on top of the BT Basic she already pays ?.........Or will BT want more because of the broadband.

What exchange are you on?-on an Mkt 1 or Mkt 2 exchange it is £5.99 for 3 months, then £11.99. If you are on a Mkt3 exchange it's £5.99 throughout.
Check your exchange on https://www.samknows.com, then exchange search.
No, your BT line rental/call package remains the same, they are not supplying the broadband.
The only extra is the one-off £6.99 for wireless router delivery.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

So your LLU choice is Talk Talk Orange or AOL on the Pencoed exchange.

I would stick with Plusnet then.
TT probably cheaper, but you would lose BT Basic if they LLU'd your line.

Local Loop Unbundling, where an operator installs their equipment in the BT exchange, and often offers a cheaper service as a result.
