Ppi-lloyds tsb

A company contacted me 2 years ago to see if i was eligable for being mis-sold ppi on my personal loan purchased 3 years ago. I agreed and all the paperwork was signed and sent of.a couple of months later(due to a backlog of customers) i was contacted again to say that i was mis-sold the ppi and that a specialist team of solicitors would be takin the case up on a no win no fee basis.the first solicitor didnt make much of an effort and after 8 months they would not be dealing with it anymore due to a lack of success and customers like myself was complaining.so it was all sent of to a more agressive solicitor and agian just after all the paperwork was finalised and in the hands of a baraster, i contacted them who said that the solicitor would be handing over my claim to their partners,so i am now in the hands of a 3rd solicitor who are suppodt to be more aggressive and a speedy recovery. This is 2 years on and i am very annoyed.i cant pull out as i would have to pay for the work that has already been done.
Has anyone else had the same problem?

    Hi there

so sorry to hear this, bet it feels like your not getting anywhere!

Yes there have been a few on here, I am aware one of those solicitors were called Heenans and they are asking peeps if they want this continued they have a new panel of solicitors, then to sign the acceptance form for them to continue.

If you are not charged for this, maybe it would be quicker by having a go yourself, you get to keep all your money on the PPI, and only pay for posting within the post office.

For more info on reclaiming here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

And always be wary of any claims companies as well, for more info on them you could get in touch with the Ministry of Justice, and even find out more on the company through these, here:
    http://www.justice.gov.uk/contactus.htm

Please keep us posted, good luck.

  • thanks for your response.it was heenans and the new panel is james and beckett. ive read the small print and if i cancel the agreement i would then have to pay for the work they have already done so i wouldnt be any better off so i have let them continue on that basis.l will keep you updated.

    Hi there

Mine was with Heenans a while back, but we were messed around, so I requested for the details back from them, that was ages ago.
Did you go through this using a claims company?
If so I would contact them about these charges, its not your fault all this have gone on, they let you down not the other way round.

You could of course contact the above number I posted within the Ministry of justice and see what they have to say.;)

    wishing you luck with this.

Hi Irisco would have been the claims management firm that you first contacted (or the other way round) and they would then pass your case to a solicitor being Heenans. I think that this Irisco are now MG finacial claims as that is what comes up on their name into google. ;) The solicitors would not have been regulated by MOJ but you can make a complaint against them if you wish through the Law Society.
  • is this company in breach of contract?

you said you've read the small print, who is your contract actally with ? Also, what did the contract say they would do for you? If they've failed to keep to their side of the agreement then you could claim breach of contract, but I would suggest you take the contract to the Citizens Advice Bureau as you quite rightly don't yourself want to be found in breach and have to pay for their time

Also the MoJ website for claims management companies is:

www.claimsregulation.gov.uk and not the MoJ website
  • the contract is with irisco but they changed their name to M & G financial services.they would recover any PPI owed to me.but no timeframe was given.
  • i have sent an email regarding this situation to the claims regulations and i will let you know of the outcome
