Best not to feed the troll (HoustonCalling), it will soon get fed up & b*gger off!Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0

These were blagged by us for MoneySavers. MoneySavingExpert is all about saving everyone money - we don't like to make things exclusive for a select few.0

Martin was probably able to negotiate this offer due to the number of users on MSE. TuneTribe will want to raise their profile and are using a hugely popular website to help them do that. Without that exposure, there would be no offer, so no-one, MSE member or not, would get a free MP3. And the offer fits with MSE's philosophy of money saving. Win-win.
The only problem is that TuneTribe weren't ready to cope with the amount of traffic they were always going to get with an offer like this. As others have said, there are plenty of things you can do to make sure your site is ready for increased traffic. Pity they didn't do it on this occasion.Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A

They are digital downloads. They will never run out. The limit may be reached though. To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.

Just a quick update ...
the tunechecker site now throws up a window when you click the link10,000 free album downloads
UPDATE 15.10 3 Feb '10
Tunetribe is struggling with the current stream of traffic, so please come back later and try again. Only a fraction of the downloads have gone so please be patient! Tunetribe has also offered to up the number available downloads to 15,000. We'll keep this updated with any further developments.
We've blagged 10,000 free album downloads from the TuneTribe website from a selection of over 100 inc Alexandra Burke, Paloma Faith, Micheal Jackson, Mark Ronson & more - all worth around a fiver.
To get your free album:- Choose your album from the selection in the free download offer
- Register at Tunetribe
- At the checkout add the code 'TUNE'
Before you choose your album, check what you would need to pay if you bought it - using our cheapest MP3 and CD comparison.
Then if you're planning to buy it and others, get the freebie that would cost you the most if you paid direct.
Why is Tunetribe doing this?
Like many of these promotions its aim is to build its database of customers, and of course implicit in getting the download you have to sign up to it. However that won't cost you anything - though you are likely to get marketing emails.
... I did have to chuckle at the spelling of Michael :rotfl:0 -
After 4 hours of trying I have now given this up as a bad job!0
