Pap - I thought you put your views accross very well on that thread btw :)

I havent joined in because there seem to be a lot of people who dont want children feeling the need to defend their decisions (not you!) and I'd rather not get put in with that - I dont want any and thats the end of it as far as I am concerned. What other people want and do is up to them :D

Exactly, thats why I tryed to put across its an individual decision. Just beacuse society/friends/family would 'like' or for what of a better word 'expect' woman to have children doesnt mean we have to. There will always be people so pro children as well as there will be people pro 'childfree'. If someone wants 1 child or 10 it has nothing to do with me, the same as if I want none its nothing to do with 'you' :p People can do as they like but don't try and oppress your opinion on me if I have made a informed/mature decision for myself :D

pap she sounds like one of my sisters - until she settled down and had a nipper. Although her OH is another story - not been confirmed, but we reckon he's been sleeping with my youngest sister behind the other sister's back....gross

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

That's what I think.....one day my family will be on Jeremy Kyle, mainly cos of my sister's OH's inability t okeep it in his kecks, and my younger sister's inability to learn and use the word NO.

I don't eat nuts or olives - gak. It also says its for grazing all week...............the portions look tiny though...........

Strange thread that PAP. I can totally understand that some people don't want kids (good, there isn't enough room :p;)) but it did get a bit anti-parents in the middle.
Some of the threads over there are a bit

Snowing heavily now, need to take some eggs round to sisters in a bit, but other than that I'm not going out in it, way too dangerous.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
