Good morning all!!
Bit nippy here today with a bit of black ice: have heels on so must remember to tread carefully!
Nimbo when I've made Leek & potato soup in the past I've added a dollop of tomato puree that we've had left over from making pizzas and it was quite nice.... have also thought of adding red pepper to it (does this even go?!) - never actually tried it though.
Had to play tooth fairy last night to DD. Naughty me though, because her tooth fell out nearly a week ago and she put it under her pillow a couple of nights back but the tooth fairy forgot :cool:
Lunch today is soup, and dinner is pork chops with mash and veg. Will be making the mash in bulk and freezing, so fingers crossed that works. The BM will be going on when I get home tonight as well.
Have a great day all! x

Morning everyone.
Been rushing round like a blue *rsed fly
Was up in the night with both kids and we overslept til nearly 8am
School run mindee comes at 8am  So hair not washed (which I hate) and everything was a big rush as the kids weren't dressed either. Haven't even had any breakfast yet and I am starving.
Switched off the gammon in the SC in the wee small hours this morning and taken it out this morning. It's delish
Only probably is as I keep walking past I take small pieces to nibble - won't be any left at this rate :rotfl:
So unsuprisingly tea tonight will be gammon, some reduced broccoli that my FIL dropped off last night and some mash and pickle! Can't have ham without a little bit of pickle!
Got some washing and cleaning if I can get into gear.
I haven't read the end of yesterdays thread so hugs to those that need them.
Diva - welcome back. Hope your head is in a better "space"
Nimbo - I normally add the usual seasonings and a small tsp of dijon mustard to give it a bit of kick
pipkin - glad to see throat is a little better.
Right need to go and have some food before I drop from lack of sustinance :rotfl:

Morning all,
Just wanted to pop on and say hi. Am still a bit all over the place, having good days and bad, but it seems that the good are just edging it - I'd say 51% good 49% bad, but that's progress right?
MSD - glad you're back and hope you're ok
Anguk - so so sorry to hear your news. Am thinking of you.
Many many thanks to all who have mentioned DH and I in their posts. It has been very, very much appreciated - it really does help.
Hugs xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning peeps
freezing outside this morning, all the snow from last night has made it difficult to walk anywhere as its icy underneath :eek:it took me an age to scrape the car earlier as it was so thick - the scraper just wasn`t going through it all and just skated over the top, still it seems to be thawing now that the sun has come out
MSD / Mioliere - Glad to see you both back, have a good trip Kathy!
Taplady - Any improvement re DH?
I`ve just eaten a lovely bacon and egg breakfast, i`ve not had that for a while so i thought that i would treat myself, tea for tonight is now made as i`m on the late shifts for a while now and DH can just whack his in the microwave, mine has been tupperwared up to take with me. It started out as tuna and pasta bake but i`ve thrown lots of extra veggies in and used the last of the tomato sauce that i made in the summer with tomatoes from the greenhouse so its very tasty.
The freezer inventory that i`ve been putting off is now done so i`ve scrapped the meal plan and will make another one later
i honestly believe that there is enough food in there to feed us for the entire month and then some
the freezer also badly needs defrosting but i just can`t seem to get it any where near empty.
I made the dogfood in the slowcooker last night so thats all cooled and portioned up - guess where some of it needs to go - thats right the freezer :rotfl:i had planned on managing with just a large fridge freezer once the kitchen is sorted but i think that i need to have a smaller one elsewhere too.
The garden is full of birdies once again as i put extra food out for them when its really cold, they seem to love the mealworm/suet pellets so i shall get more of those when i next go to the shops, the peanuts don`t seem to last long either. There is usually only seed left at the end of the day.
I need to sort out the kitchen now and then hop in the shower so i shall make a move and catch up with you all later.
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Have a nice salad for dinner today and having some pasta when I get in later tonight.
Have a good day everyone and HUGS to those who need them0 -
Morning all
Been MIA again for a few days
Very cold here today, car windows are frozen but I dont plan on going out so my old banger will stop as it is.
Must get some housework done, not that I feel much like doing it. Went to friends last night so had a very late night and I woke up with a headache no idea why....suppose it could be something to do with the vino
Brekkie was Porridge
Lunch is corned beef sarnies, havent had corned beef for ages it was 2 for 1 at Morries so thought it would make a change, then fruit
Dinner will be pasta bake, the last one in the freezer, and yoghurt after.
I need to do a big cook up to restock the freezer, theres not much left in there now.
Diva - course we missed you nice to see you back:beer::T:T
(((hugs))) for Tris and Michelle
Kathy - not long now oooooo:j
lowesy - yes its better than the other way round
pipkin - glad your throat is getting better
Off to unload the WM/DW and get the vac and duster around the place.
Have good days all

Afternoon all!
Wet and gloomy here today! dd3 is back at school with her poorly finger all bandaged up, she is insisting that she goes to netball practice tonight, can't see that she'll be able to catch very well though, but I'm pleased she's keen! ds and dd1 still off and coldy, and feeling sick all the time too. dd1 is currently doing a spot of batik in the kitchen, so I have relocated to my bedroom - she likes to do things her own way!
OS stuff will be tidying and S&S the kitchen and bathrooms, plus tackling Mount Washmore as usual!
Lunches for dd2: hm sausage rolls, choc buttons, lemon drizzle cake (oops just remembered she doesn't like it, hopefully she can swap with a friend!), apple and clementine.
Lunch for dd3: she did it herself last night so no idea!
Lunches for me and poorlies, soup and toast.
Dinner: chicken pie with mini roasties and veg, pud will be something I whip up this afternoon I hope!
Going to have a catch up on here and then do a spot of cleaning and then some crochet I think, then off to work tonight, poo!
Have a good day all, hugs where needed xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hi everyone, just finished my early lunch, the last of some turkey & veg broth and toast. There is a piece of brisket in the slow cooker for tea.
I'm going to go and do some sewing this afternoon.Apart from that nothing much happening.DH will be home shortly-theycan't do anything on the extension they are on as its too frosty here to do any brickwork or flagging, and they did all the tidying yesterday. No doubt he will be lighting the woodburner,so the heating doesn't kick in,so we'll all be boiling.
Csarina- I hope you'll both be very happy in your new home.
Diva-glad youre back.
NPM- I really hope you find your papers.
AngUk- Still thinking of you all
Lowesy- glad to see you're up to posting.(((Hugs)))
Sunnygirl- enjoy seeing your friend.Crochet is getting really popular now isn't it?Nice to see these old skills getting revitalised.By the way, since I went shorter I have to wash my hair everyday-look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards sometimes
Mioliere- enjoy your trip/2nd Christmas.
Will come and have another browse later.Take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
