I had a claim on hold prior to the ruling and then got a letter from HSBC in December with the 8 weeks to respond. Having been made redundant and trying to set up a business I did not act on the time scale. What are my options now - can I ressurect my claim or do I have to start a new one? Any guidance would be appreciated.0

Disputes made on financial hardship grounds may be more difficult to justify as you no longer use the accounts ... but that depends on the specifics of your claim."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Hi everyone,
I have been banking with Natwest for 10 years and have never had any problems. I have a £100.00 overdraft limit with them and have never been overdrawn etc.
Last month, I didnt realise and was dipping into my overdraft limit, I then had a (charity) DD leave my account which made me £15.04 overdrawn. They have sent me a letter saying the are going to charge me £35.00. I am really unsure if they are allowed to do this?
What do I do-should I write a letter to them or visit them?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.0 -

Can i just ask can i claim charges back to july 2001, halifax said they could only go back 6 years, this was in 2009 but it was in 2007 when i requested my statements so have got them here, basically i had an overdraft of 250.00 then they changed my account to a cash card which has no facility for overdrafts, i couldnt upgrade my account because of bad credit, but this was when alot of my charges were accrued, in one month alone I got charged 270.00 in charges. any advice natweststaffmember on this one pls!!!!!0

You could claim based on financial hardship, but one would wonder why you have left matters so long if you were in financial hardship and how a refund of charges wopuld now improve matters. A claim on financial hardship grounds, even if agreed, doesn't mean you'll necessarily get any refund."Now to trolling as a concept. .... As Premier has said, there are claims testing some of the arguments in the court system but the banks ARE expected to send in the heavyweight QC's at County Court level to dissuade a further mass reclaiming scenario. In time we will see if this in fact does or does not end the bank charges campaign. It hasn't for me one iota.0
