Managed 5/5 dead easy this week, and as I'm aiming for one bought lunch per week it means I have a bought lunch in hand. A happy side effect is that instead of just popping across to the shop for random choccie bars and bags of crisps, I'm eating up all the stuff I've got stashed in my desk drawers - cup-a-soups and little packets of biscuits I've nicked from meetings. So it's money saving AND decluttering!:TMay NSDs 10/11 (Feb 8/10, Mar 11/10, April 11/11)May save on lunches challenge 12/18 (Feb 16/16, Mar 20/20, April 18/18)0

End of the week for me today, had to buy some chips and beans in the canteen today (only 90p) had a late night yesterday so didn't have enough time to get anything ready before work. It's my one for the week, 1/4 so far.Nearly debt free

There are 14 working days for me in February, I've brought lunch for 4 already and bought one lunch. My aim is to manage at least 8 of the remaining 9 with no purchases. Keep trying to ring the changes to stop me getting bored. Going to try taking a pre-cooked omlette this week to have with beansknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Hiya - I'm in! Did the January challenge but didn't post. I didn't buy one lunch in January. Coupled with the fact that i've packed me fags in as well, I feel really proud of myself as well as being quids in. More money to chuck at beastly cc debt. Found that home made soup saves the day for me along with keeping a fruit bowl at work. I've found that if I have nothing to munch on immediately to hand - thats when I want to head for the deli next door to work!0

#25 pavlovs_dog and #26 2rea22, I've added you guys too.
Good luck, it gets easier when after a while, I've really got into the swing of it and it'll save me lots of money over time. It used to be easy to just go and buy lunch now it's really hard cos I think of how much I'll be spending and that I have an alternative.Nearly debt free

I'm limbering up for another week of brought-from-home lunches this week - I've got a catered meeting on Tuesday so that's taken care of, and thanks pavlovs_dog for reminding me about omelettes - a big spanish tortilla cut in wedges is top-class lunch box fodder so I'll make one of those mid-week. Tomorrow it's leftover shepherd's pie from the one I'm about to have for tea! Good luck everyone!May NSDs 10/11 (Feb 8/10, Mar 11/10, April 11/11)May save on lunches challenge 12/18 (Feb 16/16, Mar 20/20, April 18/18)0

Hi all,
Looking forward to another week of no spends. Thank you guys for keeping up my motivation and giving me some great new ideas! Spanish omelette will be on next week's lunch box menu! Last week I took a couple of eggs with me and had scrambled egg and pitta - really quick and easy and I just came up with the idea as I was running out the door.
Tomorrow is soup for me - had some butternut squash soup in the freezer but it wasn't really enough for a full portion so I blended it with a can of chickpeas and more stock and voila, enough for 2 days. After that it'll be left over chilli and rice.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone.0
