Can I join again please? Am aiming for 27 days! This should be easy as I'm presently in temp work and finishing my current assignment this week. The Bureau don't have another booking for me as yet so for the forseeable future I will be at home and won't have the spare cash to buy lunch. I say 27 rather than 28 because I'm off out for lunch with the team on Friday, my last day.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    I'm in!

Aiming for 20/20 no shop bought sarnies. Managed 19 last month so I'm sure I can do it.

I'm also allowing myself 2 coffee shop trips a month for drinks only (I went twice in Jan so will keep the same target), but these are budgeted for elsewhere.

    Thanks Mr Green.

Nottoobadyet, Remember you saying you'd be on hols at the start of feb - hope you're having a good time!
  • Thanks MrGreen for setting the new thread up! I'd like to join again too

Sign me up please! I managed 12/14 no spend on lunch days during January, this month I will be at work for 18 days and I plan on taking a packed lunch every day! The diet has started with a vengeance as well so this should help.

OOoh, me too please! I'm doing NSDs in Feb and not buying lunch is a key factor in hitting my target. I do meet friends in town for lunch from time to time, so I'll allow myself ONE bought lunch per week maximum this month and see how we get on from there. Off to a good start - have taken packed lunches today and yesterday, and have just cooked up a huge pilaff that should do me till the weekend!
    May NSDs 10/11 (Feb 8/10, Mar 11/10, April 11/11)

  • Hi Mr Green (this is sounding like a game of Cluedo!)
Thanks for starting the Feb challenge, & as others have said, a big thanks to NTBY for getting us started in the first place & doing a great job of running last month's thread.
Please can I be put down for a maximum of 1 bought lunch a week & not spending more than AUS $10 a week on lunch/coffees/non-essentials while at work?
Didn't keep an exact count in Jan but I think it was just 1 shop bought lunch & I definitely didn't spend more than $10 a week - yay me!
I feel much more in control & have even lost a bit of weight!
So far Feb is off to a good start - leftover pizza on Mon & Tues, & went out for lunch with friends yesterday but just drank some water! & a sundried tomato & basil tortilla wrap today with left over chilli type stuff in it. Yum!
  • Going good for me so far 3/3 days!

    3/3 today!

Enjoyed my lunch too - granary bread ham, cheese, pickle and lettuce sandwich, 7 cherry tomatoes (7 = one of the five a day LOL!), 2 apples, 3 clementines, low cal noodles.

I am weightwatching, and agree with previous poster (sorry, not sure who it was) who said bringing in lunches helped with weightloss. I always got tempted by treat foods when I went out to buy lunch - now I just have to dodge all the rubbish my colleagues bring in!

    Good luck everyone!
