  • worked at home yesterday and made another yummy vat of leek and potato soup (with VALM on that!). I had mates over for dinnner and we managed to eat through a positively unhealthy amount of rissotto, so no leftovers there...

Today I have the other jacket potato and the other half of the tin of beans from Tuesday. Soup tomorrow, then another week down!

  • The cravings for a greggs pasty were ridiculous today.

I managed to resist (I don't know how) and actually enjoyed my winter veg soup.

Looks like we're all doing pretty well with this challenge - loads of great ideas, thanks

bertman - you've got me thinking about fruit cake: cheap, easy to make, filling, great for office birthdays etc....mmm...might look into making one this weekend.

tiny_courageous I know what you mean about the pasty cravings - but how fab does it feel when you resist? I resisted a fearsome Costa-coffee-and-muffin craving yesterday and felt very pleased with myself all afternoon!

I'm well pleased with my progress - only got one more lunch to meet my challenge for the month. I was meant to be having three 'bought' lunches out with friends this week, but events conspired to cancel/change all of them, so I was able to bring a packed lunch instead or claim a no-spend. And I cooked huge amounts of egg fried rice with ham, peas, quorn lumps etc on Tuesday which has lasted till today, yum.

Really fancied a Starbucks coffee this morning...and the Starbucks nearest my work was CLOSED! Couldn't believe my luck LOL

Ham salad and pickle sandwich today, with free champers courtesy of my boss, who cracked open a bottle to mark our last day in our current office.

I am on 14/20 for the month!

    Well done everyone :-)

    Love this thread!

Both our local Starbucks have closed down. We are most upset. There is another one not too far from us but it's within a hotel and as they're a franchise we can't use our card in there. Plus it's pokey. Looks like we'll have to switch our allegience to Nero or Costa. x

    Hi

Last week of Feb coming up folks! I can't believe how motivating this thread is. I've definitely not bought as many impulse buys, as most days I have no need to go out of the office. Perfect.

I've got lots of micro rice in the cupboards (which aren't ideal to use at home cos the micro broke last week!) so I'm going to take them into work along with some tins of sardines/mackerel. I'm sure the office will love the smell coming from my desk!:D

I did go to the pub one day last week but then my boss got the drinks in! Felt slightly guilty as I never bought her one back. Oh well, there's always another day.
