    hindsight is a wonderful thing.

    I could quite easily say as some are "you should have got it in writing"........I really cant think of many people that really would have done that - how about

    "does the car come with floor mats"

    "yes it will come with floor mats......now the mileage on this is low blah blah"...

    Thanks for the warning OP - and you are right, not only it is a sad time that we have to get literally EVERY promise in writing - but there are still people out there who would blame the victim [you] rather than the fact people are dishonest when they shouldnt be.

    when I worked in the traffic warden section in Edinburgh people would say I`ve only been on this double line for 2 minutes,then they would tell me they have been in M& S changing something M& S is a good 10 minutes walk in both directions:rotfl:
    please do not pick on me for my grammar,I left school at fifteen and worked in the building trade for 55years ,
