I didn't need socks! And I was so easily able to justify it to myself "they look so warm, they'll be so handy next winter if it's as cold again". I'm even thinking of going back for more as they would make lovely presents.:o
The paper did say there might be a blizzard again in the coming weeks, so you'll be ok for keeping warm.
GLady - I didn't watch it but will take your word lol. I've just this minute finished off a secret stash of cripsNo more for a few days I think.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this shopping bug thing while reading this thread, and have been feeling a bit smug because I don't have vast amounts of toiletries etc - and then earlier I went to my airing cupboard and looked at the HUGE piles of bedlinen and realised that yes, I am pretty addicted to buying duvet covers and pillow cases, and towels. We've got literally dozens of sets. I can't resist a reduced price king-size duvet set, especially if it's a really good quality 400 thread count job. We have enough to last years and years - let's face it, how quickly do these things wear out? I reckon I can't be the only one with a serious home-wares habit...(I did fess up to the scented candles earlier, but it goes waaaaay beyond that!)May NSDs 10/11 (Feb 8/10, Mar 11/10, April 11/11)May save on lunches challenge 12/18 (Feb 16/16, Mar 20/20, April 18/18)0

Treacly, I can't open my airing cupboard without towels falling out, however I didn't buy them all, some were presents.
For me it's books and useless gadgets. At the last count, I have misplaced about 12 brand new items from Kleeneze etc no idea where they go. At one stage I bought the water-tight white tape about 3 times, and still lost it LOL Or I buy things and mess them up on the first go e.g. the self-adhesive mirror roll.0 -
OMG yes! The Lakeland catalogue is like catnip to me. I must have bought every single s*dding 'wonder' product they've ever done. Got any lint you need removing? vases need cleaning? potatoes need de-eyeing? Irony is, I dislike housework and OH does most of it - I only do washing and ironing and then only when the pile (of duvet covers, usually!) is so big I can't even see over it.May NSDs 10/11 (Feb 8/10, Mar 11/10, April 11/11)May save on lunches challenge 12/18 (Feb 16/16, Mar 20/20, April 18/18)0

Hi Indian Girl4 bags instead of dinner - what flavour? Perhaps you have to buy similar to others because you don't want to feel you are missing out on something?
Cheese & Onion are my favourite! but like to balance it out with a variety of others...plain (or READY SALTED as my DH insists!) sour cream & onion Pringles, cheesey Quavers, Wotsits, C&O hula hoops, vegetable crisps, pickled onion Monster Munch (how happy was I when they brought these back!), all the snacky one like Onion rings, ANYTHING really :rotfl:
Most stuff just tends to sit in my wardrobe - I went out to a birthday dinner and bought a new outfit - even heels that I probably won't wear again as I have back problemsI probably only wear 10% of my entire wardrobe

Oh no, that list of snacks is making my mouth water - you missed out the chipsticks lol
My worst thing with unworn new clothes is I buy them and they are loose, then I eat a lot of bread and go up 3 sizes in the week  I never wear heels and luckily never buy them. Only wear 10%, that sounds like most people on here I think..:o0 -
Ready salted are PLAIN crisps - simple :O Your husband Indiangirl is rather silly isnt he
lol.
Yep I would say i wear 10% of my wardrobe - this could be argued I dont have a social life at the min haha, or it could be im a shoppaholic and own too much :S which of those makes me feel better :S lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
LOL at all the crisp talk... look what you've started, Anglea. My favourites are ready salted French Fries. I could eat a full 12pk of those and still make room for more
Hmm, the one thing we don't have a lot of is household things like towels and bedding. I just don't ge the same buzz from buying those - they're more of a chore to buy, so most of our towels are threadbare.0 -
