This is brilliant :T:T:T:T:T
And you are on track to reduce the total by another £10k this year :j:j:j
Thank you Maty. I'm just so impatient with it!I guess that's a good thing as it keeps me bashing on through!

Should have caught up first and answered once, sorry
What planet is your boss on????? What was the voicemail about last week if she is happy for you to have this week off at the drop of a hat?
Two years pension contributions is nothing in the grand scheme of things - you could have missed 10 years having children!
Hi Happy, good to see you about:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
It's fabulous - apart from first thing in the morning! I'd terrify the postie if I had to answer the door before I had the chance to wash it. :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:
Bed head hair can be very scary :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Ooh, presentation to the directors. Nae pressure then! You know if you really want you can do a knock-out presentation. The rest comes down to money! Doesn't it always! We'll all be rooting for you!
I KNOW i can do a knockout presentation, I just need to think where the hell to start!Happy, gutted I can't make it but I will be at a festival with my friend and her two wee kiddies, so I won't be wallowing in despair (though maybe in mud!). Make sure you take a James CD with you and sing along, and we'll all be in the same place - kind off!And hopefully I can make another time when you all can. I hope all is well with you and working part-time is working well for you.
We are gutted you won't be there to make the tea Nic! But we plan on making it an annual event (just don't tell Mike :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:):j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Annual event... hell yes, even bi-annual maybe
Maty, YOU CAN DO IT!! You really can!!
Nic, don't get stressed about sorting the flat for renting, everything comes in it's own time. Well done on getting the RBS loan downI'm slipping further and further away from my goal of DF by end of 2011, that is definitely not going to happen
Trying to persuade MrS to loan me enough to pay it all off but he is having none of it!

Baby steps Psycho. Are you still doing the PAD challenge? I find that really tough but the rounding down my bank account whenever it's a few pounds over a nice rounded number has really made a difference - I've paid anything from £30-£60 extra a month off that way. I also know when I'm being really good with my spending (or lack thereoff) as there aren't as many days I can round it down as it stays that nice round figure for much longer! Then I chose a date when I know all my direct debits have been paid and pay off however much I feel brave enough to pay off at that time (which depends what day of the month it is, when pay day falls and if I have anything planned that will cost me money).
NSDs are invaluable for that too. They get easier the more you do them. But every so often, I jump off the wagon and run around whooping and brandishing my debit card about. I've learned it's par for the course now and to just go with it. Those times don't last as long as they used to. And the wagon will still be trundling along when I tire myself out, calm down and clamber back up.
Maty - for a long time I have thought it was just me! Now I think it's just my boss! I spent all weekend worrying and Monday morning putting off phoning her! I didn't know whether to be relieved or stunned! But I was slightly bad because I did take the opportunity to take advantage.
I also admit that my supervisor has 4 weeks off from next week and I would quite like to avoid her for a while as I find her contol freakiness clashes with my control freakiness and she is so cold and blinkered in the way she does things. (You can see why we clash. She doesn't like things done anything other than her way. And I like to do things my way. We're both autonomous practitioners so it really shouldn't matter but she spends her time telling my why my way is wrong and I spend my time reiterating her way doesn't work for me.)
It feels very childish and I can't belive it's taken me so long to come to the decision to do something new.
You live and learn. And I always was a slow learner. I think it's the Taureen in me. :rotfl:
Anyway, I'm not at the library, I haven't blitzed the flat nor taken the ebay stuff to the post office, which is naughty! So I'm going to ignore the mess, jump in the shower and head to the library via the post office. Glasgow Uni library is open until 2am  so I've still plenty time.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Another £17.73 heading toward RBS from bills account.
Yes, yes, I know, I'm still not in the library. Pesky wrapping up parcels. I'm sure I haven't yet mentioned I dislike eBaying.
I also just had to turn the flat upside down to find my library card. Actually, the flat was already upside down so you'd think I might have turned it the right way up in my search, wouldn't you? Not likely!
It has made me realise I do need another clean out of paperwork! I still have receipts for repairs for my first car. And goodness knows how many out of date insurances for various things.
All that however is for a time when this course work is out of my short hair!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

My hair is kinda like this - except very dark with some light highlights. And never as well styled.(Apart from the first time when the hairdresser did it :rotfl:)

Nice Hair Nic. Bet it really suits you.
Presentations - Okay if your mouse isn't playing up (like mine is!) No tips - Just plan and practice. I was talking about drivers for change in mine and I put Ayton Senna in, which made the lecturer laugh.
James - I have the t-shirt.

Thanks Butti
.
Decided to walk into the counselling appointment today, 3.75 miles in 55 minutes. I didn't march quite so fast on the way home! But I did it... there was a point the rain came on and I thought I'd just jump on the tube, but I reached the point of no return and took the road less travelled, i.e. despite the rain I veered left and away from the closest tube station meaning I had to walk whatever the weather decided to do... the rain stopped after a bit and anyway, it was warm. Ortat least, I was warm from so much walking.
I felt a bit of a fraud at the counselling appointment. I might be stressed but, with your help, I've worked through what I need to do. I didn't ask the counsellor to listen to my boss's message; that just felt petty. I did tell her about the decisions I'd come to. It felt more like chatting things through with a friend. And she did say she had looked through my notes and couldn't understand why I was back.
I mentioned my boss asking me to make an "emergency" counselling appointment and an "emergency" GP appointment and making an "emergency" referral to occupational health. And that maybe, just maybe, that was related to her stress as much as mine.
So anyway, I won't be going back. I do need to go to my GP next week, at GPs request and I will have to go to occupational health. My previous experience of that is that they will do very little as I am not actually off work.
Most importantly, I do have to get this course work done!
Because then I can really get the VSO ball rolling!
Got my 15th NSD for the month. A 16th would be nice tomorrow, but I won't force it.
I was contemplating putting the rest of the money in my bills account to the RBS, but I'm a bit nervous about it because my pay hasn't gone in yet. Not that there's anywhere near enough there to cover everything (or even any one thing) coming out on 1st so I know I'm just fretting over nothing really!
Right, off to make a flask to take to the library and will hopefully get a couple of hours studying done.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Pay all transferred and set for direct debits to roll...
Received an extra £100 in pay and was all excited for a minute, then rememberd it was probably the 3.5 months expenses I eventually handed in. Yup, you're lucky if I get £30 per month to cover driving all over the city, 5 days a week every month.
Eventually got a new battery delivered for my laptop. It wasn't charging either and a quick look online told me it might be the adapter... adapter ordered, problem solved. If only I'd researched that earlier! £45 versus £7! Ah well, at least now I have a spare battery!
Feeling very tired today and have soooo much course work to get through.
Must find my concentration, I'm sure I left it around here somewhere...Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
