Aw thanks guys!
It's ok, I have my outfit all sorted to ensure I don't fall off my heels or feel uncomfortable, so what can go wrong? :rotfl:
Feeling more calm today. We have done lots of work and I'm good in a crisis, so if something does go wrong I won't fall to pieces. I can only guess this is how people feel organising their weddings; you plan and plan and then there comes a point there's nothing left to do other than worry that it won't go as planned!
I did mange to get a small dig in at the team meeting today when I mentioned it wasa a pity no-one from the departement was going as I felt I'd be unlikely to feed back as they expect because my mind won't solely be on absorbing what the speakers say on the day!
I neglected to mention my mind is very much on quizzing the speaker who works for Unicef!:rotfl:
Still tired but have jammy doghnuts, tea and Ideal Homes magazine to flick through. And then early to bed!
This weekend I plan to sleep! And after that I promise to try to slow down! Yoga has been out of the window for a while and that's my top priority in re-instating me time! Along with visiting friends who may have forgotten who I am!!!
And checking where everything is with my debts. Just in case David Cameron knocks on my door! I guess he's not aware of us all here plugging away at our debts, even though Martin was at all the party conferences (which I bet won't be as fun as mine! :rotfl:). good for you for planning me time. As for David Cameron............... I wont go there
When is the conference now? Can you video it if there is nobody to take notes? Flip video cameras are cheapish, get the department to buy one and then float around videoing the conference and peoples comments. That is what I do for feedback these days. Plus you can put it on FB and your departments website as promotion. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Good luck Nic, although I'm sure you won't need it. You'll have practiced and you're cool headed so you'll take it all in your stride (Don't know why I'm putting this down, as you'll be ZZZZZZZZ now hopefully, dreaming of your ideal home!)
I'm afraid Mr Cameron's right I'm just going wild with my credit card. This month the car tax and insurance is going on it. A bit wildly flippant and rash of me (and not moneysaving at all!) but bit tough to find it out of £65 a week! If only we were all multi-millionaires eh!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You with your car tax, my friend with her food shopping.... how utterly irresponsible we all are in just trying to make ends meet! I'm afraid, as we know from browsing DFW, if you've not been there, you don't understand and think it is as simple as "stop it".
MrsMoo, we thought about videoing but there are too many confidentiality isses around the topic and what is being showed, as well as copyright for some of the speakers so it's not really a goer this time round. Nevermind, we have developed a lovely little flier for consultancy work to test the waters as to what's out there privately.:j:eek::jJan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Shame about that but great news on the consultancy fliers. You really are gong greta guns in everything at the moment. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Helloooo!
MrsMoo - I'm sure you already knew as you're a conference guru... but OMG! How much work have we just genereated for ourselves? And I don't mean privately. I just mean from creating such a buzz on Friday. We now need to channel that and keep the momentum going! Eek! My head has been buzzing with ideas all weekend - but now the true tiredness is kicking in!
Can't believe I was standing in front of over 100 people waxing lyrical - but people tell me it really did happen! need to collate the info and evaluation forms and see what happens next.
Though right now next is early to bed!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

So pleased for you Nic. Running conferences and presenting are two of the most exciting bits of my job. I am glad that you got a buzz from it, even happier that you are going to get more work from it. You deserve a rest now. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Next challenge is asking my boss for some protected time to try and give it the time it deserves! We did a lot of the conference work in our own time - but that's a lot of time and we all have other things going on and would quite like to live our lives! But we're all passionate about this and want to make ourselves heard. So let's see where it takes me! Guessing it might be hard to say no giving the success of the conference. But who knows?
Still not forgotten that right about now was when I was going to give the VSO application form my full attention. Glad I held off as I was able to quiz one of our speakers and so have found out various snippets of info. that can only help.
Now would have been a good time to take a week off and go read books somewhere sunny to calm down and try and assimilate some of the stuff I've been doing over the last wee while!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
