Cats on counters HELP

I use Stardrops....to clean my laminate floors too

I'll have a look at the purrs link to see what cleaning products are suitable.
Unless I lock them in the bathroom with the shower on to keep them amused until all the floors dry
Neither Stardrops antibac spray nor the original orange liquid have any warning, so hopefully they are safe. It might be worth an e-mail to check they are?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
You may be able to minimise it but you will never stop it totally unless you don't let the cats in the room. I have 6 cats only 2 ever go on surfaces no matter what I do at some point they will get up.
If your that much of a clean freak I'm amazed you have animals. I;m afraid there is no magic answer. Be persistent with water sprays and telling them off that may minimise it but cats are independant and you will never stop it totally
Good Luck0 -

I use Safe4 for cleaning floors and surfaces the animals can get to. Theres quite a few sources online for it and a 5 litre container lasts ages0 -
try using a spray for your worktops that has a citrus smell, like lemon or orange. cats hates anything citrusy and will avoid it. the foil trick works aswell. equally leaving out orange or lemon peel will deter them. as the smell wears off they'll try their luck again but if you keep doing it they'll eventually give up.
also menthol.. they hate it
i put a few drops of olbas on a tissue and leave it places i dont want my 2 to go. it works. or something like vicks vaporub. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
I sympathise with you as I'm going through this too. My kittens are 4 months and I thought they were too little to get up there but one of them climbed up his scratchpost up onto the counter when I wasn't there. The only reason I knew what he'd done was that my other kitten had ripped her claw that morning and after doing some research about how to stop it bleeding I found a tip to dip her paw in cornflour. I had filled a little pot with cornflour and after I'd finished with it I left it by the sink. When I got back from the vets there was white paw prints all over my counters and cooker. I've since moved the scratchpost but I don't think it'll be long till they manage it again.

Well after having 2 cats for 17yrs and never experiencing this problem i am now wanting some advice to stop it happening, being a cleaning freak aint a reason not to have pets, i was just stating that i wasnt happy to let them be and not scold them cause i want the problem to stop ... Im not moaning about the mess they make im more unhappy with the fact its unhygenic and seeing as i have children its not something i want to allow to happen but would like to prevent hence the thread.Mum of 2 adorable children & 2 cheeky cats who were born on 23.04.2009 :rotfl:0

Cats hate their reflection and dont like the scrunch of tin foil.
My cat is now 10 and don`t do it!
Tes used to love looking in the mirror, but he was no ordinary cat:cool:0 -
