well i set up the stand and tried to switch it on, it didn't work so i went to check the batteries to find that the fluid in them has leaked everywhere  (at least i assume thats what it is, very rusty in colour, smells terrible!) so i'll need to buy new batteries to check if it still works ok or not...oh well! it did have a plug but that needs a wee repair job but as it's sealed i can't do it! not my day eh?
on the up side i decided to take the plunge and do a very [STRIKE]silly[/STRIKE] kind thing for a friend and loan her my beloved dorothy costume to pretend to be alice in wonderland for tomo night...it's the friend that tends to get drunk and lose her friends so she's on a promise that i can kick her a$$ if anything happens to it...i spent a week making that costume!0 -
aww how sweet! You should post a pic of the costume - it sounds fab!

Oh wow! That outfit is amazing! U made that? You have talent girl!
I adore the wizard of oz...Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

yeah i made it, thanks! before my current job i worked in a fabric shop and i learned a lot there, tho i'd already been doing bits n pieces. at one point i opened a shop on ebay to sell a few bits i made, but i just wasn't making enough money to be worth it. for the amount folk on there are willing to pay you cover your fabrics and made a few pound profit, but not enough to cover the time it took.
i chose dorothy as i had bought the shoes for my bday and wanted to wear them again, felt so weird in open toe stilettos with socks on! :rotfl:0 -
What a great outfit! I love it
