I've been reading the threads for about a week now - still have most of January to finish, but will get there ;) - so have decided to join in.

It's something I've been doing for a couple years now, to be honest. I was getting so many gift sets from ds and ex-mr.c that I decided I needed to just use the products and not keep them for special occasions, which never seem to come about much anyway! I still indulge, but reading everyone's posts inspired me to take a quick stock-take and think twice before buying :)

I will get a list and/or photo together soon, I seem to think I don't have much, but I'll probably be shocked when it's all gathered together.

On a side note, someone on here some pages back (sorry, I can't remember who!) mentioned about needing a good foot moisturiser, and I'd like to highly recommend Weleda's Skin Food. I have never used a product that worked so well - my feet trend to crack and eventually bleed if not looked after and it was the only product that sorted the problem. I'm using up other products at the moment, but once I've finished I'll be ordering some more ;)

Well done to everyone, even the wagon-fallers; you're conscientious enough to admit it which is just as admirable as doing the challenge :T

I finally got to the end of that pot of moisturiser.:j Elizabeth Arden Green Tea body moisturiser comes highly recommended by me, even though it is no longer the trendiest of products any more.

Next up; watermelon body butter from The Body Shop (If it hasn't gone off - my mum bought it ages ago and never used it so I think it is on its last legs). If not, then it's some Nivea in a bottle. Oooh - I've only ever had it in a tub before! ;)

  • Not finished anything in the last few days but was very proud of my self last night. Happened to still be up at midnight when Liz Earle came onto QVC. But i resisted and decided i didn't need to get the TSV:j:j The only thing i really need is moisturiser and prob not for 2 weeks so i will wait and order it from Liz Earle direct.

I'm going to list some stuff on ebay tomorrow as have a few small items plus a load of handbags that are lying around so may as well get rid.

I did buy some stuff yesterday :o but i didn't pay for it my OH did so i'm not counting that. i got some bodyform liners as the always ones i have are too big (plus they came with free lipglosses which i will ebay), got 2 x sure deodrant as were BOGOF and also got a new razor and shaving cream - the disposables i have are irritating my bikini line and the venus razor was half price.

Now all i have to do is stay away from QVC all day so i don't get tempted again. Going to the footy this afternoon will help and hopefully help my stash as will want a hot shower when i get in. Was so cold on Weds night at footy i couldn't feel my legs for about 2 hours after!! The things we do!
  • Just lost a big post!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Grrr, what can I remember?

teabythesea - hope your ok honey xx

joesaunt - :j:j:j:j:j yay!!! you go girl xx

I bought NYC nail varnish last night for £1.99 and a Benefit mascara on ebay for £2.74. I needed these, so its allowed :D I will need to buy a moisturiser as well, so I think I'll nip down to Tesco to replace the one I have just now. Hmm, I think it was about £3 and it must be one of the best I've used.

    Right, coffee anyone?

It is a man :T he is so nice and normal it is untrue. He is debt free and not at all materialistic like the ex husband, I don't feel I have to be "up with it" all the time. He likes me for who I am not like the ex who tried to "mold" me, almost destroying the person I was. I am so happy today I could sing, but best not I am tone deaf!

Have fun joesaunt. He sounds lovely. Sing as much as you like.:)

Toes are fine but this morning my fingers lokk blimmin awful. I'll have to take it off when I get home. I'm in the library atm waiting for DS to get changed after aikido.

Had a good sort out of the toils last night ( Friday night in the fast lane ;)

One of the Neals Yard cleansers had smashed so alas I cant use that, so into the bin it went. I used up the 2 tubes of 1/2 nairs - nice smooth legs & b line now :p I did buy another tohugh as I knew I was using up and I cant have none in. Febs spend then so far 99p.

Have decided to compensate if OH needs deoderant he can use the mitchum I bought. Its just too boring for me. I dont really sweat much to be honest, so I dont need a "hardcore" product like that. Mind you it is rather unisex so I can pass it off to OH ;)

    Just a quick question:

Ive found the No7 HGift - its the silver chain mail bag one.

Im thinking ill stick it on ebay, as although i would use the night cream 7 shower gel the lipgloss and mascara I wouldn't and cant be bothered to sell the bits separately.

Does anyone know what section I need to list this in- ie category? Ive never sold toiletries before

I would probably stick lipgloss or mascara in the box and see what categories come up. You should then be able to say it is a kit or set. I think you can list in two categories so you could list under lipgloss and also mascara so you attract 2 different kind of audiences.

  • Well a minor slip off the wagon today and I'm firmly blaming Tara. Was passing the body shop and couldn't resist looking in to see whether they had the vit E oil on offer still. No is the answer. Anyway they had gift sets on offer (half price) so bought one for my friend's birthday. But couldn't resist making it up to £15 to get the free shower gel - olive :)

Was also in boots and spent £1.15 on castor oil for the OCM. I also bought some muslin clothes and 3-4-2 rimmel nailvarnishes (please tell me they were recommended here!) but I used points to pay. Many thanks Vicster for the offer of a muslin cloth by the way but I figured I'd need a few and knew I had Boots points so I may as well go for it :)

Anyway a slip but I'm figuring it only really cost me the £1.15 (you can't buy pharmacy items with Boots points apparently!) since the £15 was a birthday present I was going to have to buy anyway :)

Of course that's one more shower gel I really don't need though :)
