biting the bullet and throwing all those hardly used items that don't suit me.

nearly finished a clarins gentle exfoliating refiner (cut bottom off to get last bit ) so only got 2 left(1 near shower and 1 in downstairs bathroom for non shower at home/bath days)

spent ages trying to get some serum out of a small phial only to discover on taking top off that it was empty and the line I thought showed how much I had left was in fact where the top came off(need to wear my glasses more!!!!

just read that nude shades are in for spring nails so going to paint mine this week, fed up with the lines left around nails when you take off dark shades!

Oh yes, forgot to mention that I bought 2 Mitchum roll-on deodorants on special offer in Tesoc the other day. They cost £3.50, but are normally nearly that on their own so I consider that a frugal purchase. (I don't need on right this minute, but I will do in the not-too-distant future.) I didn't buy anything frivolous, though! :)

    Afternoon girls :)
Needed to go for a long run this morning after eating 2/3rds of a tub of ben n jerry's last night  so the industrial stuff was out for this shower, God I'm so unfit!
Dove Cream Oil bodywash, must have used about half the bottle, it's nice and left my skin feeling good but I'm not a huge fan of the smell so won't buy again, it was on offer I'm sure as I wouldn't normally buy Dove. I'll tell DD to finish it in her shower later (she's feeling much better today by the way, thank you all for your kind words).
Been going really nuts with the body butter, in 2 days I'm about 1/4 way through a BS Cocoa Butter 200ml one, and I have to say, my skin is feeling great, especially the tops of my arms which get quite bumpy and rough at this time of the year because of the central heating. I'm using remnants of a wee tub of Astral on my feet after my runs, stings my blisters a bit but I reckon if I do that a few times this week that'll be another empty for the bin.
I have a few giftsets up on ebay (S&G, Sanctuary and Body Shop) and the only thing that's looking like a purchase needing done soon is a deodorant for DD so I'll have a good look through that Dove thread on Grabbit and see if I can get one for nothing.
The Mark Hill products my mate gave me are going in a gift hamper I think. My sis in law is 30 next week and having a party so I'll be creative with a mix of my stash and hopefully keep the spend under a tenner. I'm thinking chocolate, wee bottle of wine and a mix of smellies/skincare could make quite a nice gift (she insisted on 'no gifts' but you just can't turn up with nothing can you?).
My face still isn't 100% after discovering my reaction to Clean Mary so I've been using nothing but E45 on it for the past 3 days. I thought I might need to buy some, but my trusty mum seems to have an endless supply of this stuff, so my moisturisers aren't dwindling at all.
Oh well, Sunday tomorrow, will treat myself to a long bath after the roast and OH is out at band practise. Hoping to see some space in my bathroom VERY soon :)
Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

  • I went past the bodyshop earlier and turned my nose up at their offer of a free shower gel if you spend £15, with some of the online offers that have been around of late I thought that was stingy!

I didn't get the M&S shea butter out of stash in the end, I got out a half used tub of fcuk whipped body cream instead, it smells lush, I've prob got one or two more goes out of it before it's done. I think I'm going to use up some of the smaller pots and tubes I've got which are already open.

Going to put the hot water on for a bath in a min (a treat in our house!), I'm going to have a face mask and lots of bubbles.

Was going through stash this morning and I've pulled out a few things to ebay, but only stuff that I'll never use. I've got no idea how much some of it wll go for (like mini P&P serums and D&G light blue body cream for example) but even a few quid is better than it sitting there doing nothing! I keep talking about it but I'm actually going to list some of it tonight!

I have a confession. I looked to see what the TSV was and saw it had most of the stuff I wanted to try anyway. In my defence I looked to see how much it would have cost if I went to Liz direct and I am saving about £40.00.

I have been e-baying some stuff and have about £80.00 odd in my paypal account so all the Avon stuf I have been e-baying for the last couple of years has actually paid for it.

Could I also class it as a belated birthday present :o
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

  • what an awesome stash you've got, full of lovely things rather than supermaket own. There is nothing wrong with supermarket own but I wouldn't want a stash as big as that full of it. You've got some really gorgeous stuff to enjoy using up :D

All the "nice" things were bought when i was going through my QVC phase years ago and this is when i also found Liz Earle

I have considered selling some but as i said in the original thread, i would just re-buy everything. I seem to have a hoarding problem as i like having lots of the same item for some reason.

I have sold a few items that i know i wont use but i think its best i dont sell this lot as i really would just panic and start buying it all again :o
I also think i need it as a reminder that i dont need to buy anything else, if i start getting rid of things i think my brain will think i can start buying again.

This challenge is exactly what i needed, i just bought my first flat and ive realised that all this "stuff" is such a waste.

In my defense i didnt buy anything in January and dont plan on buying anything else for quite a while ;)

I also received quite a lot as presents in January which i am passing onto other people rather than adding to my stash :D

Oh, i didnt buy the Liz Earle TSV today and i didnt even know it was on until i was flicking through! Now thats progress lol
