:mad::mad:GRRR:mad::mad:
The monster-in-law has been to stay and obviously didn't bring toiletries with her.
In out bathroom cabenet is an almost empty body wash/ bubble bath and a brand new one (ready for using as old one litterally has enough for 1 bath in)............. so guess which she used????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on another note also got some belated xmas toiletries pressies which, unless i have aged 50 years, are going on ebay at the weekend.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I was going to photograph my stash....but there was so much I didn't dare:o
Finally finished elderly deoderant that had been left under the bathroom sink. Re-stocked my travel bag after using up a few items at the weekend... but still sooooo much that I've donated a few more bits to Chapel for the needy: it's amazing how long things lastI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
A lady I sit next to at work has been frightening me about the ingredients of beauty products. The toxic ingredients they contain which can cause cancer.
I am worried now. I have been looking at some organic products, shower gel, hair care and moisturisers but they are more costly than the 'toxin' ones.
I was looking at this site too about all the ingredients:
http://www.safecosmetics.org
Is this something anyone else is concerned about?
Does anyone know of any 99% chemical free products that don't cost the earth?
or should I not bother? As its everywhere these chemicals, in my food, the air, and the cleaning stuff I use one my car.0 -
Phew, caught up with photos and stuff. You chatty lot!
Not used anything up today (yet). Need a bath tonight so will see what I can target. I felt (for a little bit) a Champneys splurge c/o Sainsburys calling. It's bath/shower stuff I wanna get but I just know somewhere in the house is a Champneys set I bought. Hopefully the little - buy no duplicate toiletries -eleves will help me find it. Here's some Tips that have helped me (which some of your clever ladies have also spoken about in the last thread):
1. Good idea about putting little things away for travel bags etc. I must do that.
2. A cream too sensitive for my face (Neals Yard Almond one) is being used on my hands. Extravagant but better than binning it.
3. The large (posh-looking) soap dispenser will get refilled with unloved shower gel. Who's to know eh.
4. Shampoo I'm not keen on (L'Oreal you know who you are) is being used to clean my make-up brushes. I must clean brushes in my carry around make-up bag.
5. Sealed and totally unused make-up has been going to friends.
6. Used make-up, like foundation, has been going to sis.
7. I've been (until recently) rationing myself to just 1 lipgloss. This is proving harder than really it should.
8. I've been topping up my make-up during the day rather than just the half asleep dooze of applying it in the morning. Just before I got off the train to go home I dusted some more bronzer on and looked all the better for it! And compliments to boot.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

this is what I have to use up! I'm never going to get through it all!
Is that the No7 light-up mirror at the back? It's on my list. I can see loads of OLAY facewash and wipes which were probably almost free with vouchers.Queen_of_NO_MATTER_WHAT wrote: »I'm pondering whether to sell my extra S&G empty hatbox and big bather box, I have seen they are selling on ebay and I don't need two of each, what do you think?
Those boxes are really big and awkward for wrapping/posting + they are really handy storage boxes because they're so pretty. I'd keep them.A lady I sit next to at work has been frightening me about the ingredients of beauty products. The toxic ingredients they contain which can cause cancer.

Parabens are probably what she's on about. Paraben free, cheap and nice= YesToCarrotts. Also lovely but more expensive are Trilogy and Dr Hauschka and possibly Aveda.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Do you have enough to fill an average size room? That's what I'd classify a lot
Plus I'd have to find it all first!! I discovered a long forgotten Sanctuary Weekend Pamper Bag from a Grabbit in my wardrobe last week.

Thanks for the links, they are still a bit pricey. I only want to pay a few pounds for a shower gel or bar of soap. I really begrudge paying more. Is original source okay?
If not I think ill swap my deodorant and go for aveda body moisturiser but thats all. Its too expensive to change it allThe government should do something about this! Or whoever does this sort of stuff.

I'm pondering whether to sell my extra S&G empty hatbox and big bather box, I have seen they are selling on ebay and I don't need two of each, what do you think?
I'd get them on Ebay. They are pretty, but if you don't have much room to keep them, you may aswell get some money for them. Put it towards something you really want.
I've just sold some odd bits and pieces that were lying around the house, some clothes, unused make-up, toiletries, perfume etc. Also the S&G shower caps do sell well, I've sold a couple of these...Anyway it mounted up to £250 approx (minus fees & postage) but still, not a bad amount for stuff I wasn't using or needing. Get it on and see what you can get... Good luck :hello::hello:No more toiletries challenge :T
