Ok, here is my stash of the stuff I really want to be focussing on working my way through if I'm to reach my June target. I don't think it looks that much all together like this does it? Am I kidding myself? I haven't included make up, full size shampoos and conditioners, toothpaste or perfume as I feel it's really bath, body and face stuff that's my issue and I want to work through the wee fiddly bits that lie around for months on end. I think I really need to say no to any more S&G for a while and I think I might hand the gift sets in to the charity shop at some point soon. The boxes of babywipes are full, I don't even have a bloody baby but I've been buying them religiously every week since I did 15 years ago!!:rotfl:

    Hi everybody-I've been good.
I returned a givenchy perfume set that oh got me on boxing day to boots so £23 refunded.
I have used up a boots gorgeous feet set (all sachets)during the weekend by treating my feet to a home pedicure-even used a footspa I bought from superdrug clearance for £5 that has lived in the airing cupboard since purchase.
Have been smothering my feet in soap&glory heel genius and will tonight finish the tube.Feet look better than they ever have.
Have been using no7 moisturising gloves and an olay handcream every night since friday.
Have been using sanctuary lomi lomi granules in the footspa as a treat.
I've noticed that by spending 5 minutes in the evening on hands/feet or body I am slowly finishing products that are usually difficult to use up.
does OH know you return his gifts?I would not dare!
having said that he is quite well trained after 30 years ,we go to my fav shop and I point out things I like, trouble is this year there was nothing I reaaly liked/needed so went home empty handed:eek:
he then went shopping alone the week before Christmas and bought a necklace from a catalogue I had marked things I liked in and soem of my fav perfume :j....trouble with that was I knew he paid full price and i always buy online at a large discount:rotfl:

It was! It does smell sexy, might have to be careful not to start eating it.

oohh no don't waste it by eating it ;) it is scrummy though, I wonder if I'll still feel like that in a years time when I'm still using up my supply??

Is that any good? I have really dry feet and often get hard skin from wearing heels so i use Eucerin Dry Skin Cream, I've no idea how much it costs, I've had this bottle for years - someone gave it to me because my feet were so bad. It can be quite greasy but it works really well, I put it on and then put my socks on for bed! But anyway it's nearly finished and was wondering what the S&G one was like?

Are they M&S body butters behind the i-foam? My god I flippin love the shea butter (?) one, it's soooo nice and just soaks right into my skin :o I'm determined not to buy anymore until I've used the other one and my S&G stuff. I haven't even tried my i-foam yet  my new rule is not to open anything if I already have one open. It's actually working... keeps the clutter out of the bathroom which makes less room in ht edraw for me to buy anything new.

Thats some stash you've got there btw :T

Yeah it's bigger than it looks too! The top one is the m&s shea butter, goodness girl you know your stuff ;) underneath it (all stacked up) is a body shop brazil butter, almond and coconut one. So a good few to keep me going! (as well as all the s&g ones and other ones) I put a full list in the jan post, I think I've got 13 in total so enough to keep me going for more than a year!

Godd plan to use up what's open already. I'm doing that, but I've only got the one thing that I'm using at a time actually out, otherwise I feel too cluttered. But when that's finished I'll take something already opened out of my stash. The M&S shea butter is next because I've used some of that already and the ifoam is way down the list because I've got LOADS to use before that!
Hi everyone. I have decided to bite the bullet and join this thread! Well done everyone who has managed to go without buying any more stuff this year. I am going to have to start from the beginning of February, after realising that a large amount of under-the-bed storage space is taken up with 3 boxes of toiletries/cosmetics, as well as a box on top of the wardrobe.

I have such a problem with not being able to resist a bargain! But what makes me thing I need, for instance, 9 body lotions? Do I think I'm an elephant or something?

Welcome :) nope 9 body lotions sounds about right...make a list of all the things you've got and start working through it...and if your brave enough take a photo to remind you. I keep mine on my phone so i can look at it when I get the urge, it reminds me that actually I've already got lots of lovley stuff already to use :)

Oooooh, I might post a pic of my stash. Shame myself into submission....

Saw your pic, I'm so proud you posted one :) what a stash you've got. If we were to put our stuff together we could open our own S&G shop!

I'm gradually working my way through the herbal teas though!

I've got a whole cupboard of them, in my defence I do drink them because I don't drink normal tea or coffee but I really need to set myself a challege to use up what I've got before buying anymore. It doesn't seem to matter what it is, I seem to have to have an excess of everything!

I just want to add that No7 can be really expensive. A lot of No7 face creams cost nearly as much as the cheaper items on a lancome/clarins/clinique counter and you would get a far better GWP from those brands.

I agree about No7 being expensive, I bought lots of gift sets in the 75% boots sale so didn't feel like I paid over the odds. BUT there is a lot of it that I wouldn't buy again when it's gone. I much prefer the vitamin e range from the bodyshop, but that can work out equally as expensive. Once this lot has gone I might experiement with cheaper brands. I must admit that my skin looks much better as a result of cleasing and toning but this is a new routine for me, so I can't say whether it is the No7 or whether it's the fact I'm actually doing it!

    Morning ladies!

Ds finished off a bottle of shampoo and a shower gel, I finished off a nasty Colgate toothpaste gel stuff which tasted horrible, Ds liked it but now finished, 2 more tubes of toothpaste to go before I buy any more.

    2 shower gels left.

Loads of samples etc of moisturiser to go, but I have been putting some in with things I have sold on ebay so 4 more gone this week.

Sold 1 nail varnish on ebay and 2 Dior Addict lipglosses (amongst other things)

My feet are so soft I can't believe it, it was such a good idea someone had of using up body cream on them, the Clinique body butter has made a fabulous job of them, will almost be sorry to finish it up.......but there are so many others to try.

Just been ripped off for a fiver in a hotel carpark, my bosses asked me to meet them their so we could have a directors meeting, I was only there 50 minutes and it was a fiver to get out. can claim it back, but could have done without spending it. (I need some hair remover, honestly I have none)

Very soon I will need a new mascara, I have no spare.........I do like the Maybelline Lash Stilletoe so will be looking for the cheapest I can find.:A

Oh well, best get some work done.

Just checked on boots and although this isn't the same product it's similar...£10+ seems expensive but it is a very very good cream, I've not found anything like it that works so well...so if you ladies know or can suggest an equal alternative I'd love to hear them because I'd like to pay a little less than that if poss!

I have a few samples of this, I will try it next if you think it is good, I had put it in the box for the carboot sale, but think I will rescue it.

    I love soft feet!
