I am single and will have nothing to do on Sunday (as most of my mates are attached and my family is very far away), what do you think I should do to keep myself out of Boots and other tempting places (which I may visit so as to take my mind off my singleness on Valentines Day)...???
:D

With the mobile phone recycling you need to go on this site and see what they will offer you for your phone: http://www.bootsrecycle.com/consumer/
I've not done a phone but with cartridges you put in how many you are sending and get a label to print out, pop cartridges in envelope with label on post and then you get an email to let you know when they've arrived and that your points are ready to collect from the machines in boots stores. I get a proof of postage when I post but it is freepost.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hope you don't mind me asking....I've got 2 old mobiles just sitting around the house..
It's been a while since I last did it but I think I looked up mobile recycling on their website and requested an envelope. (I think they might have these envelopes in store too). Once you've got an envelope you put your details in it with the phone and send it off. They put points on your card which you have to collect at the Advantage card machine. I think they email you when they're ready to collect.
On the website they give you a quote for the type of phone you have and tell you how many points they'll give you for it. I think I've had around 1000 points but the phone's were nothing special, we're not ones for having the latest model.

I'm glad other people aren't struck with S&G face wipes, I've had them a few times and I'm not convinced. I think my favourite I've tried are sanctuary ones. I don't like time delay ones.
I'm on johnsons ones atm which I'm not a fan of either.

Yorkielass, if you still want that Sanctuary shower cap, PM me your address, I don't want any money for it, it's just good to give it to someone who'll use it.Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620

Great tip about recycling cartridges on boots. Didn't know about the mobile phones though!! Funnily enough when I clicked the link the example phone was a W810i so I just clicked search and it says I would of got 1,700 points... Amazingly I've listed my old W810i on ebay lol. Oh well never mind :rotfl:Just looked again and they'll even donate £1 to charity!! Thats amazing but maybe next time :T
I helped my Nan clear some space in her bedroom today and while we were cleaning the top of her wardrobe I found a very old (40+ years she thinks) empty Chanel bottle, in the box and still with stopper. Then I found more empty Chanel No5 bottles... one of them was a refillable handbag sized one and an enormous 100ml aswell  Also an old Cristale (sp?) and a huge tub of No5 talc with loads still inside. It was better than the Chanel counter in GHL's
There must of been 8 bottles in total... one of those is still full because I bought it her this xmas
It was sad too because my Grandad bought the rest for her and he isn't here anymore
But the memories are still nice.
Haven't used anything up, haven't bought anything but I have deleted the crown makeup brush site out of my faves because I'm close to doing something massively stoooopid and have just got my council tax bill... that I'd conveniently forgotten about
I hope your all having a lovely Thursday :TEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
Out for me, ends of a nivea cleanser. Older than my DD (8). Not used up but just couldn't. I keep trying to use it as bath wash or something but it's too cold and doesn't bubble! Also got rid of that awful spray. My colleague told me to leave it in the staff loo to be used as an air freshner- jolly good idea methinks!
I shall start using the other spray in shoes as soon as DH gets home from work.
Off for a bath in a mo as DD wants the 'puter to do homework and DS has been booted out of the house to play for 1/2 hour (he can come in and watch telly just as I get in the bath, or get in with me! He's 6 btw!)
A new addition to my stash is a barely used 50ml bottle of cool water. My colleague noticed me wearing it the other night and offered me her bottle....... "Unless it's going to spoil your using up plan!". So that was very nice of her. I now have about 65ml cool water and 75ml vera wang princess.
Ah well, I've not bought anything new today!!!!!!!!!

Neither do I, I found the consistency of them really didn't suit me, I found the No 7 ones too strong too. I had some from Lidl a while ago, no idea what they were called, but to be honest they were the best I've ever used. I will look for them when my Simple/Roc/Garnier stockpile eventually goes.0 -
Thanx Yorkielass and topbargainhunter...that's great
Gonna have a look now and see what they offer..better than having them just laying around.:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T
