• I did think the reply was a bit uncalled for. With my new baby due in 11 days & the prospect of having to go into hospital next week for monitoring it's aggro I don't need at the moment. Still don't know if it would be better to email or phone though?

How do you know if the code has been accepted? Put the code in, but it didn't automatically come up with anything.

I would ring them if I were you - I had a problem with Debenhams last year, shortly before Christmas, where half of my items didn't arrive, and out of those that did, several were the wrong sizes. E-mailing got me nowhere, but a phone call sorted it out (although it did take me about 20 minutes to finally speak to someone who could help me!)

The problem with Debenhams seems to be that they have several different departments within their internet sales - gifts, clothing, etc, and they don't seem to communicate between themselves particulary well.

Ring them up, stay calm and polite, and explain the situation to them in full. If the person you speak to doesn't give you a satisfactory answer and resolve the issue for you, then ask to speak to a supervisor and take things from there. It should be resolved far quicker using the telephone than it would via e-mail - and at least that way you won't be hanging around checking your e-mail waiting for an answer. They won't charge you again, although they might ask you to return the wrong goods and pay postage, which they will then refund once they receive the items in question. However, argue your case with them and they should send you out the relevant documentation to return them free of charge - this is what I did, so don't take no for an answer!

I hope that everything is okay with your pregnancy - bad enough having to survive this heat with a large bump without having any extra stresses to worry about. Good luck with your new baby - I wish you as pain-free and easy a delivery as possible, and I hope that your little one is born happy and healthy (and sleeps through the night from the word go ;))
• Debenhams just rang me and asked for the source of the code!!! Told her I got it off the Nectar website and she said ok!!!!!

They have finally said they can send me the clothing item in the correct size but are out of stock of the toy so have offered me a further 10% off this item (It's an inflatable outdoor toy so I'm now trying to persuade DH to blow/pump it up so I can check it's ok)

I've to return any unwanted items in the usual way - what usual way when I have never ordered from them before! I've tried phoning but can't find any number apart from an 0845 one which is constantly engaged!

To top it all off, having checked online at Nectar e-stores I have only been credited for one of the items (the toy) it's showing as my order was only £4.50 when in fact it was £8.10 (£11.60 with delivery), no sign of the 1000 points bonus yet either but have had an email confirming the code as been applied so will wait & see.

P.S Thanks for your lovely message, just 6 days til EDD & no sign of anything happening yet

• I will certainly not be shopping with them again, I only did it as I had the voucher sent in the post. No Debenhams local to me so had to order online, pity such a highly regarded shop can mess orders up like this!

I used this code for a purchase of 10.00 childs dress in the sale but I still haven't received the extra 1000 points, only 20 for the purchase.
I also got a £10 dress for my daughter for school and have received the 20 base points but no bonus points. I have e-mailed nectar but had no reply yet. As I didn't register my details on the Debenhams site I had no confirmation e-mail detailing the points and can't check my order on their website.

Well, it's 3 weeks later, and still no 1000 points - is it worth contacting someone? And if so, should it be Nectar or Debenhams?

Mel.

I have contacted Nectar using contact details found on other threads:

helpline@nectar.com or 0207 2096355
• Got a new reply back from them :-

We have arranged a collection through your local courier.
The next available day for this is Friday. We hope
this is convenient for you. Please make sure you complete
and obtain a signed returns form as proof of return.

It's now 2pm already & no sign of them, I hope they do turn up today otherwise I will NOT be happy. The 10% discount I was offered for the other item has been put on my card though so that's one item dealt with.
