  • Just placed my first order with them, £11.60 inc postage. I got the code through with my last statement & no minimum spend on mine so I hope I get the points!

I bought 5 packets of Panasonic Xtreme Power AA batteries for £5.00 (normally £3.00 each!) http://www.debenhams.com/products/product_selection_2003.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=8832321&bmUID=1153624921039
My 1,000 bonus points have been added to my nectar account after about a week, am well happy.

So did it actually cost £5 including del?

Thought about getting some batteries

I used this ten days ago, the code is showing on the receipt. Not only did I get no bonus points but no base points either on my £25 before gift wrapping / p and p spend :-( boo hoo! It was a gift through the wedding registry. Do you think that makes a difference?
Nothing in it, nothing in it but a ribbon round it .....
  • I ordered a mug for £1.80 plus £3.50 p and p. when it arrived it was broken. i phoned and they offered a refund but I chose to have another mug which duly arrived and was fine. This was all about two weeks ago but no points added yet. It did say up to 28 days on original offer.

No, delivery is £3.50 so it cost £8.50 in total, but still very good for 5 packs of powerful batteries and 1,000 nectar points imo :j

Ahhh....I did receive the initial 1000 points when making my first Debenhams purchase....but I haven't received the second 1000 points yet, since making my second purchase.....just assumed they'd be added but if they don't let you use the code twice, maybe I won't get the second 1000 points!

Will keep checking my account & let you know either way.

did you ever get your second lot of 1000 points

I used the code, and it seemed to have been accepted, but I noticed today that I had earned 20 Nectar points from Debenhams, and it can only have been this order
Well, it's 3 weeks later, and still no 1000 points - is it worth contacting someone? And if so, should it be Nectar or Debenhams?

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

  • I ordered my order last Friday (28th July) @ 7pmish, and I got my 1000 bonus points on Mon (31st July)..... :D

However, I haven't received my order yet. Phoned them, and they say it takes about a week to deliver which sounds bit naff
  • The order I placed was for 2 items, one clothing & one toy. The clothing item they sent was 2 sizes smaller than what I ordered & the toy was in a damaged box which had been taped up (So it was obviously not the courier's fault!). I emailed them about this & got the following reply :-

"We are sorry you are disappointed with the goods we have sent you, please let us know if you would like us to reorder them for you."

I have checked my email order receipt & I def ordered the correct size so why they have sent something 2 sizes smaller is beyond me! DH says I should email back but would I get more joy from phoning? If I ask them to reorder will they charge me twice & what should I do with the items I have here?

Also the total before postage was £8.10, but having looked at my Nectar statement online it says the total was £4.50 (I.E just one of the two items) & no bonus points have been added but the email reply has said :-

"We are pleased to confirm your order was processed with the offer code UG6p.
Please allow 28 days for the points to show on your Nectar card."

  • I would actually complain, and demand they get a courier out to pick up the items FOC, and send you replacements which they would incur the charges for.

Surely, they are trying to fob you off with goods that 1) You didn't order incorrectly (the size is wrong), 2) The packaging should be intact, and not taped together (you start to wonder if they have actually sold you second hand goods).

The woman I spoke to started really snotty when i said my order hadn't arrived. So I gave her a piece of my mind, and then she started to apologise, and said it would arrive within 7 days.

Think of it this way, WE pay their salary.

My philosophy is that "you treat others the way you would like to be treated". If they start getting sarcastic, I get sarcastic back.
