Flying - err transferred slow cooker contents to a dish for freezing, that's it!
Well you dont need to let it bug you, you did what was right at the time, and thats all that matters:T
And I have decided you are Gran ( my Gran:D) so there:p:p:p:p
Flying....rehung LR curtains, shame they are all creased, the iron is hiding somewhere in the exceedingly full garage, and I wasnt going searching:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Cosmomo, I think I may just tempt DS into leaving early by offering to go via the river, it means a longer walk and more distractions for my two, but they love it down there and we'll avoid all of the foot traffic! Now I just have to hope that this lad doesn't turn up on the doorstep. He was here at 7.50 this morning - we don't leave for school until 8.25!!!
Trouble is you can't keep going early to avoid him and why should you. I know it is hard and you don't want to offend but I think you are going to have to tell him straight, or get DH to that you don't want him calling at the house in the morning. At worst pop a note through his door to tell Gran that it is too chaotic in your house of a morning for any 'friends' to come around. I agree with others there is a huge difference between a six year old and a nine year old - is DS yr2 or 3?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Off to play on the wii with DH now to distract my wondering mind! Looks like I'm in for a thrashing again! Ho hum
Night my lovelies, see you in the morning xx

He's pretty steady at the minute, think he's just so busy that he hasn't had time to think. Probably best way to have it.:DSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

I know its a bit mental, but I am going to go and scrub the kitchen within an inch of its life
Well all I succeeded in doing was trapping my finger in the oven door, so now I am in a worse mood than when I started:cool::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
You're right Dusty, I know it, but I'm so crappy at confrontation! I'm a much better lover than a fighter!
Although, I was pretty good this evening. As I was typing my messages to you lovelies, sure enough, the lad tipped up. I was still deciding what to do, so I let him in when DS asked. It all got very noisy, very excitable and semi aggressive (little boys are quite scary sometimes!). Sure enough, it all got a bit much for DS and when I told him he couldn't have a packet of crisps, he went to punch me!!! He lost his nerve at the last moment, but intent is enough in my house. My boy was in time out in under 20 seconds and the other boy was out of the house in 25! DS calmed down after his time out, ate his dinner in peace and was in bed by 7, so no permanent damage.
DS is in year 2, he'll be 7 on valentine's day, but he's very young for his age. He's intelligent and articulate, but we've taken care to try and shelter him from ugly behaviour (I have seen too many monkey-see, monkey-do situations), he's also easily led. Great.
I'm hoping that if we nip it in the bud now, it'll be ok in future. DH is firmly behind this decision, we talked it through tonight and he's more than happy to handle it. He's already informed DS that this boy won't be allowed in our house any more, nor he in theirs. It feels good to have him on board, it makes me feel more confident.0 -

Only the very best people have their birthday's on Valentine's day
Your lad is still an infant - this boy is a couple of years into being a junior. Well done for being so strong and I'm glad hubbie is right behind you - good luck xxThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
