Thanks again ladies. I do some work for a local children's charity who are closely related to social services, so I'm going to ask them to put out some feelers and check if he's being looked after, if not, I'll get ask them to put his name in to be assessed. DS's teacher is also the SEN co-ordinator at his school, so I'll let her know what's going on at our end and if she also has concerns (she was also his teacher for two years), then she'll be able to voice them too. I'm certain social services would give more weight to her opinion than they would to mine.

Right, watching some House with DH and then, off to bed. x

Quick one, Carlsberg, sending some hugs your way. You did the right thing by calming the situation, it's the best thing you can do right now. Neither of them will be thinking clearly, it's good that you can separate them when things become too heated. Keep on plugging away. x

I'm really confused though - who is that 'person' why do they randomly appear on your list?

Serena - he is not too bad, just a little bit quiet which is no bad thing considering how loud he can be especially when excited! He's enjoyed being at home and was well enough to enjoy going out tonight, he does have a headache now too so I'll keep an eye on him in the next couple of hours.

  • maralum - thanks for that. Just think I handled it wrongly, like I said last week this 'mum' malarkey is sometimes too hard x

It's always a good idea to check for facts before passing on what is essentially gossip. And it's potentially libellous, so under MSE rules at least these posts should be removed.

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone/ go against any rules. I feel horrible now :( I'll not post again.

  • Carlsberg...You're right...why would he turn up when he thinks its not his? That's because he knows it is but he's just trying to say things to hurt her....things like being a !!!! mum. Again, not true but said just to hurt her. Hugs for you all. xxxx

Any ideas on how to avoid him at the school run?

Any chance go by car? Refuse to take anyone who doesn't have a car seat on safety grounds...your car your rules (has worked with some of my kids friends who reckon they are too big for a booster seat). Or else go early for a few days...or get OH to take him...

    Good luck!
