    Note to self p 26

Had an  of a journey home..B6057 between Eckington and Valliland was absolutely errifying - drove in 1st gear - was going up 1 hill to find a car coming down stopped with hazards ... behind it a car full in the ditch  and then up at the junction cars stopped haphazardly, people wandering so I am guessing another crash...it really was foul but has stopped now. I had a couple of slithers but managed to keep going. Why a FWD car can't make it up not very steep hills (well if you're on the East Coast you'd think them steep but not steep for hereabouts). Took me an hour to get hom in mostly nose-to-tail (well it would have been but for the gaps I left) traffic...
If I had a BP monitor on goodness knows what it would have been..

so money saving diva's joined us? Remember when we had Sunnygirl and SunnyGirl? and people on this thread sending valli pm's which I wasn't getting, being Valli...

  • congratulations to ragz on the birth of baby Abigail!

    8lb 150z? I couldn't manage to have my tiddlers - none over 7lbs! ENJOY!!!!

Sorry to hear about DS - could be worse though - I caught chicken pox from DS when I was 31 - and pregnant with DD2! Not a fun time !

DD2 is stressing - 6th form options form has to be in on Friday - she's decided on Geography and Photography..but can't decide between Double Applied Leisure or English Language or Sociology and Film Studies! May be in a bunker hiding by tomorrow night!!!!

Congrats RAGZ and welcome Abigail and well done you...

harrumph (moan time) remembered to put the betterware catalogue out for the man who I know was coming to get it today, before I went to work. Came home and it's back on the PC table...DD had spotted it on the step so brought it in for me. And of course a note from the betterware man saying he was sorry he had missed me and if I want to order (which I don't) to phone. Bother!

cosmomo get a bowl of soapy warm water and wiggle them about in it. do the same with clear water. Hang upside down while you do it, and to dry (the flowers, not you!) Job done.

Thanks gratefulforhelp it worked brilliantly! Bit tricky (they are welded into a heavy glass vase) but they look a million times better - you are a star :T

Ragz - I'm so pleased for you! I hoped that your absence meant good news! How wonderfully gorgeously marvellous. Congratulations!:j

Just going to sit down with a cup of tea and catch up with the thread now...
