When this was first on TV, DS (now almost 21) was going through a particularly gruesome nappy phase. He got nicknamed 'the boy of eternal stench' which we delight in reminding him of every now & again!

When Dusty first arrived here, she had only just bought her cat. Said cat was an adorable ball of fluff that used to get in and play everywhere, including under the bed. Adorable ball of fluff crawled out from under the bed covered in dust bunnies and puffs of powder - and so, Dustykitten was born. If I remember rightly, that kitten's antics were the whole reason that Dusty started coming here in the first place, so we have much to thank it for ;). x

Ok the bit about the kitten heels and the ostrich feathers was a sexed up version - I'm training to be an MP :o
    I hate doing Thursdays :(

Why what happens on a Thursday in the world of CAB (insert confused smile)
Alternatively, try Dusty's Patented Dot-to-Dot method :T Do what you can, and eventually all the dots will join

All credit for that goes to AnW'sMum not me - My approach is if you fall behind give up for the week and start a fresh next week;) Remember we fly to make more time for doing the nice things in life we don't sacrifice those to fly;)

I'm a SAHM, have no dog (3 mogs) and rarely ever reach level 3 :rotfl:

Been to my ski lesson and had a ball.

DS3 home sick from school, fortunately DH had woken up with a trapped nerve so I kindly said he should stay home this morning as he needed to give the pain killers time to work and whilst he was here he could look after DS3;)

Mumof2 - do you need the cash? If yes I'd go for the other job for now and maybe save your wages to pay for the course. You will then still have an income whilst you hopefully get a thriving signing business off the ground. Good luck.

    Right let the flying begin.

I use mine when I don't want you lot knowing anything lol... and I know KH lurks occasionally checking up on me so I like to avoid that too.

You know you are just feeding those old studentphil rumours :rotfl::rotfl:

Teenage SS has just appeared and asked me if I know the hall smells *rolleyes*. Yes, says I. He then tells me he thought the dog had done something horrid when he went up to bed last night but he didn't check. Grounds for justifiable homicide? Stupid mutt has been for a nice roll in one of the compost heaps and stinks again. I am now even less of a dog person :(.

DW has been emptied and filled, a bean and chorizo casserole is on for everyone else. Need to get the rest of DS1s bedding in the WM and then I will force myself to do HHI.

Mumof2 - The nice lady who runs the slimming word group I used to go to also teaches baby signing and has a another job as well as having school age children. I can ask if it worth it if you like? I imagine it is a lot of work to get clients, I know the one I went on was a couple of hours a week for 8 weeks at a local college and cost maybe £25 or so. I would put in for the admin job anyway and do some market research on the other. Is anyone else doing it locally? What would it cost to hire community hall or similar? How far are you willing to travel? What is the competition? Woulkd the local nursery be interetsed

Phew, ALMOST finished today's jobs (got to walk the dog but then will come back and do the ironing) so I'm managing to keep on top of things. I am still gobsmacked at how much easier it gets week on week :).

Got a non-flying dilemma I'd like some advice with please. I have found out about a job teaching baby signing (I signed with both my children and LOVED it - I recommend it to everyone). The fee to join (£250 ) covers all your training, materials etc and from then on anything you make is your own. You can go to nurseries etc, or hire a hall and teach a group or even have small groups at someone's house and go there and teach. I don't have the best singing voice in the world by any stretch of the imagination (I make people's ears bleed) but when I rang the company the woman just laughed and said it's fine, people will feel comfier if you're not perfect!!!! I'd have to give up my typing job if I did this.

    OR

The job at the Manor Hall up the road from me - I walked to the Post Office earlier, got a copy of the job description and they pay £8 per hour for 16 hours a month, but it is likely to increase as the responsibilities increase (it's a new job). I used to be a secretary and could do all of this no problem and it would be well within my comfort zone. I wouldn't have to give up my typing job for this as could obviously do both together.

I'm really confused what to do. Of course there's no guarantee I'd get the clerical job at all but I'm really scared if I went down the signing route no-one would turn up, I'd be carp and never make a go of it - plus I'd have lost £250.

    Help!

ps sorry for really long post .... verbal diarrohea. I did talk about flying too though!

Personally its not a thing I would do with my children is signing so I would tend to go for the job at the Manor Hall. However if you think there is a market in your area for baby signing then why not ask around to see if anyone would be interested in it and if it would be spread by word of mouth? That way you would not lose your £250? Good luck with whatever you decide.
