    I need direction to perfection...
  • An hour and a half later... ... I have returned triumphant!

Wednesday ~ Master bedroom CAN I HAVE A STAR PLEASE, TOOTS? :j:j:j
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floors and vacuum!
Strip, wash and replace the bedding[/STRIKE] Did this at the weekend
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear the floordrobe/shoes/bags etc that are strewn around
Make sure any chairs in the room are visible![/STRIKE] .. and dusted, she says, smugly
[STRIKE]Clear and tidy the top of a wardrobe/chest of drawers[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Do your pillows need replacing?[/STRIKE] Now either you are psychic, or you are my stalker, because I bought a brand new pillow just yesterday for this very reason....
[STRIKE]Binbag dance[/STRIKE] I collected up the sheets we had taken off and washed at the weekend, which were full of holes. :o (I bought new sheets on Monday). I've folded them all and added them to the 'dust-sheets' bin bag and put it away tidily in the linen cupboard. Will that do?
[STRIKE]HHI [/STRIKE] I don't iron - but I've emptied the airing cupboard, folded up the clean quilt covers and dyed DH's jacket a very very very deep brown :eek::eek::eek::eek: Well - he said he wanted it darker!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Empty and wash out all bins upstairs[/STRIKE] Done Monday
    2. Clear out a cupboard.. any cupboard.. or a very full drawer I guess
    3. List 5 things to sell/giveaway
    4. February meal planning and finances need doing/updating!! Don't I know it! Have set up savings spreadsheet/target for the year; am doing household budget for the year at the mo; and I've planned this week's meals.... Will that do? :rotfl:
    Still need to:
    * Make a CD of music for DD
    * Charge up the camera and put it in my handbag
    * Write blurb and choose photo for Univ website for tomorrow
    * Finish my budget and input January's figures
    * Finish utilities usage figures: oil, electricity and gas
    * Do calculations re Economy 7 (18% b/even; 15% lose out; 25% gain)
    * Take DD to cello play-through with accompanist & record them
    * Make meal (pasta with pesto and garlic bread and salad - going easy on myself today!)

    Better get on, then!
Hugs to all who need them

  • Rosepink: bulbs really wouldn't survive unplanted until the autumn (they will just give up and shrivel), but if you plant them now, they will at least grow leaves, even if the flowers are late or small. Then next year they might give you a better show.

Bulbs rely on the growing season to get water and food and build up their strength, so they have to go into the ground at least once a year, even if you lift them when they are finished.

I planted some of mine very late over Christmas, and they are 1" high now. Go for it!

Right following on from our declutter and rearranging of the cleaning cupboard I have now drawn up an inventory list with location of said items! A lot are now in the garage until I have run down stocks of the rest.

    We have .......................

    102 cleaning/house care items :eek::o:p:D

In my defence this does include 20 lots of DW tablets, the last lot of tablets I bought with DH so I am keeping the tradition going :rotfl:

    So the conclusion is either
    1. We are incredibly mucky and need to clean a lot
    2. We have lots of stuff we don't use.
    3. I have an undiagnosed OCD condition where the purchase of cleaning stuff is concerned.
The most likely answer though is that as it was all stuffed in the cupboard and I had no idea what was in there so bought more :o

PS this does not include the shoe cleaning stuff which is in a separate box (one of the new Ik*a ones) or the cloths.

Phew, ALMOST finished today's jobs (got to walk the dog but then will come back and do the ironing) so I'm managing to keep on top of things. I am still gobsmacked at how much easier it gets week on week :).

Got a non-flying dilemma I'd like some advice with please. I have found out about a job teaching baby signing (I signed with both my children and LOVED it - I recommend it to everyone). The fee to join (£250 ) covers all your training, materials etc and from then on anything you make is your own. You can go to nurseries etc, or hire a hall and teach a group or even have small groups at someone's house and go there and teach. I don't have the best singing voice in the world by any stretch of the imagination (I make people's ears bleed) but when I rang the company the woman just laughed and said it's fine, people will feel comfier if you're not perfect!!!! I'd have to give up my typing job if I did this.

    OR

The job at the Manor Hall up the road from me - I walked to the Post Office earlier, got a copy of the job description and they pay £8 per hour for 16 hours a month, but it is likely to increase as the responsibilities increase (it's a new job). I used to be a secretary and could do all of this no problem and it would be well within my comfort zone. I wouldn't have to give up my typing job for this as could obviously do both together.

I'm really confused what to do. Of course there's no guarantee I'd get the clerical job at all but I'm really scared if I went down the signing route no-one would turn up, I'd be carp and never make a go of it - plus I'd have lost £250.

    Help!

ps sorry for really long post .... verbal diarrohea. I did talk about flying too though!
