Sim cards don't like water... but try to dry the phone out slowly as they do sometimes survive. You need to get yourself a replacement sim and go for the cheapest phone you can find that you can make calls on and text on for the moment. If you're on Vodafone I have a spare if you'd like it... (it's always worth keeping one old phone when you upgrade... and possibly even having a spare PAYG sim - I know some people who keep them in the car for emergencies, in case they lose/forget their normal one)

Maralum - I like Labyrynth, not seen it for years. The bog of eternal stench seems very apt this morning.

Ceebaby - Can I raise the stakes, my house stinks of dog dirt. Dog2 had a large accident in his cage last night which he has rolled in. DH 'didn't notice' when he let him out this morning so dog has walked and rolled it everywhere. I smelt it as soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs and have had the retchmaking job of clearing it up, washing the long haired sheep dog and cleaning the crapets. DHs dog, but he has been on scheduled conference calls since 7.30am and I couldn't leave it (or me) to suffer. Too cold for windows open, Yankee Candle 'sweet violet' is mingling badly with the other at the moment.

Pigpen - I know what you mean, I have a couple of accounts as well, started off as Hex and lost the log in, and I have another one for posting things when I dont want people knowing it is me :o! Half my family lurk ;).

Rosepink - like the others say just shove those bulbs in. If they are tulips then they will still flower if you plant them asap. Poundshop had bags of compost if you need some.

I should be at work but stayed at home to deal with the mess. Working on the website this morning and trying to write a newsletter but I am just not very good at it. Still not been paid for April-October 09 by Wednesday client although they say they sent a bacs last week .

and just to top it off picked up DS1s PJ's for the washing pile, realised they were wet. I wish he would just tell me, we dont shout at him for it or anything. His duvet is now in the WM but I hate that he has gone to school smelly.

ETA toochoosey - put your phone in a bowl of rice in the airing cupboard, draws out the water slowly. My iphone recovered fully from being dropped in the toilet after three days in a tub with a pile of rice and some silica gel sachets. Shame I got out of the car, dropped it and broke the screen a few weeks later

  • Hi everyone its my first week and i seem to be falling behind already been out to much this week. trying to get caught up today

If you're falling behind, don;t try to catch up all at once (if you're just starting at Flying, you don;t want to be put of for life before you get going ;) ).

Aim to do just level 1, for instance, and award yourself a pat on the back if you get that for 5 days. Then aim for levels 1 and 2 next week, and so on.

Alternatively, try Dusty's Patented Dot-to-Dot method :T Do what you can, and eventually all the dots will join - I do this loads when I have lots to do and not much time or enthusiasm :o
