I've been looking at Magimix's.....think I could do with one, do I need one or is Greenbee going to come along and shout NO!! Dusty, whaddya think?
I use my all the time, so it's a great idea, but you MUST get rid of some of the crap to a. pay for it and b. make space for it. Get the most powerful motor you can afford and a spare bowl too if you can. And don't bother putting it away as you'll only have to get it out again.

It says dry clean only but it stinks and I don't know when I'll get to the dry cleaners. . . . What's the best thing to do??? I'm sure one of you flyladies must have some trick for just a case :)
Well... I put cashmere in the WM on a wool cycle with soapnuts and cold water, but probably best with this to:
    a. wipe off as much as you can
    b. rinse in cold water
    c. handwash in cold/just warm water with a non-detergent wash such as soapnuts, woolite, soap flakes or stergene.

Rinse thoroughly and dry on the line if possible, but otherwise flat, without heat (so in an unheated room with an open window). Iron on low through a tea towel and air thoroughly to make sure it doesn't get that nasty musty damp wool smell. You may want to rinse with vinegar or fabric conditioner before you dry.

a poorly DD1, took her to the drs this morning they want to run more tests next week but it seems that she has some kind of bad indigestion (they did give me another name (dysp....but i have forgotten) and needs to go for a breathe test & bloods to see what type of antibiotics are needed to makes things better, so more running around next week.
Poor thing... dyspepsia? The breath test is unpleasant as it's more acid, so take some yogurt for her to have afterwards (frozen yogurt is fantastic for indigestion-type stuff as it cools and neutralises and tastes nicer than gaviscon!). The breath test is for heliobacter pylori which hopefully will be quick and easy to sort out.

Suppose I should get back to work or I'll be here all night...

If mine broke and could not be fixed I'd be down JL before the close of play replacing it HTH.

Thankyou - you have convinced me. I am just waiting to have a kitchen with worktops first. Real worktops with stuff on..... :p

and in return: Reason 84 not to have a dog. The stupid thing has started digging in my flower beds. Not burying stuff, just digging up stuff - bulbs and plants and everything.

Still not got the hoover out but I have cleared the desk, done some filing, emptied out the ash box, lit the wood burner, etc. Mucked out the chickens - they started laying again today for the first time since November so I thought they deserved fresh bedding :A

    Hi All,

Still in CBA mood, Ex still giving me carp, turned up again this morning, sent him packing. And as I was leaving the house to drop DD2 off to playgroup I noticed the garage door ajar (I can't lock it as I can't find the key). When I looked in I realised he had slept in it!!!! Drove past him on my way to Mr T and he sent me a text of why I didn't stop???!!! That man has a nerve!!! So been getting text messages off him all day. Oh best thing, he called me yesterday afternoon asking if I can pick him up! And when I mentioned it this morning cos I said he stunk of alcohol and he was drunk when he called me he denied he had!!!!:mad::mad: If he continues I have no option but to get out a restriction order against him.

So not much flying done at all, just keeping up with the bare essentials and even that is a struggle. I hope I will have a better week next week.

Lemon drizzle cake in the oven, think I might have to demolish some of it, might make me feel better!
