Optimist has given you the link, but I had put it into my post, if you had clicked on DFS, (in blue as the first word of my post), it would have taken you to the same page

Doubt you will have any comeback on DFS as you say;- "iver just broke the arm on one of my sofa's, ( i nelt on the arm and something snapped and now theres a dint in the arm). Please help anyone as im so anoyed woth myself for doing it.", (grammar left as post)!
You knelt on it, you broke it,(your admission), they are armrests not kneeling points, and no one covers "accidental" damage unless covered under a separate policy.
Now unless you can prove,(via an independent report), that there was a manufacturing defect, then I can't see you obtaining redress.
Speak to DFS first and ask, you never know.

It does say something in the contract along the lines of fair use i.e not sitting on arms etc etc so it maybe a tricky one.
Also i emailed DFS (not my local store) and told them of my problem and the little help my local sales advisor offered. Apparantley they are sending an employee out tomorrow to look at the cushions. So thankyou all for your help. I just hope he see's what i see and doesnt just deem them as ok.0 -
Well the guy came out today explained thats how hollow fibre cushions are etc etc he said he could replace them for me but they will just have these same 'issues' again as this is what these cushions do compared to foam ones. And if i want foam inserts i will have pay for them myself.0

Sorry to nag you all about this again, but since the bloke came out and used the pulling technique on my cushions although they looked lovely for half a day now they are mishaped again to the point where one end of the cushions are uphill and one downhill and no matter what i do i cant get it to sit evenly.
If i want them replaced with foam inside rather than this cushion can i not get DFS to pay for it?0 -

If they won't do it voluntarily, and I doubt they will as it will be an "exchange" and not a repair, you will have to get an independant report stating they are "not of merchantable quality", you will need to pay for this in the first instance then claim it back from DFS via the SCC, I would advise DFS of your intention to do this under SoGA, and see what they say.
An independant expert needs to be agreed between the parties to satisfy SCC rules.

"if you wish to use an expert witness, you must get the permission of the court first, and you must instruct the expert jointly with the other party in the case."Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
