HTC Hero
Hi, just seen this from 3 on 18 month contract with 750 minutes and unlimited texts for £23.45, and I know you will need the internet add-on for £5 extra. Plus Quidco £80. Is this a good deal or should I wait for new handsets? Also as a recently discharged BR what would the chances be of getting accepted? I wouldn't mind giving a security deposit. Many Thanks

Interested in this too as nearing end of contract and wondering about possible upgrade although, thinking as I type, wouldn't be able to do through quidco then.
Still interested in comments on this offer / phone.
OP, not sure how things would stand re acceptance to this offer sorry. If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
My brother works for HTC and he says wait until the 15th as some new awesome handsets are being released, He has one now and it does look immense!
I have a Hero now and I love it!0 -
He won't tell me the exact details of the new phones (But he smiled when I asked if there are any Droid devices) however, If you got a hero, Androids Cupcake build won't be around after February 15th

The Nexus One (google phone) is due at Vodafone around then. I thought the Bravo wasn't going to be released here until March/April? There's supposedly a Legend due around the same time which is meant to be similar to a Hero but with a trackball similar to a Nexus One.0 -
It's possible to get the internet allowance for free if you ask nicely. At £23.45 a month even for 18 months the tariff barely covers the price of phone, it's an excellent deal:)!Hi, just seen this from 3 on 18 month contract with 750 minutes and unlimited texts for £23.45, and I know you will need the internet add-on for £5 extra. I do like the look of this offer but even better if getting quidco AND sweet talking free internet add-on.
Think I am just coming into last 3 months of contract so could try to upgrade with this offer. Only prob is that cant do that online at mo, and doing it by other means will lead to me not getting quidco. Ah problems problems.
Last time just went to end of contract, switched to PAYG (subsequently unlocked phone) and just entered into new contract with new phone. This possibly wont last till then tho and while I appreciate better newer phones may appear they are likely to be outwith my price range.
Dilemmas!
Any possibility of achieveing all i.e. current offer, quidco and free internet add-on (and oh, can you still do refer a friend....really going for it now!)If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -

I think his bro has the bravo... since the nexus one can be bought from USA through google for roughly £400. so its not really classed as "new release" on 15th Feb? (Unless he means contract wise)
Also theres alot of rumours online saying the Bravo date has been brought forward to end of Jan... might be mid Feb .
I want my hands on the Legend, can you ask your Bro the release date for that please
