rumours has it that the base model might get dropped and the next line up will replace it, if that was the case it would be £1178 instead of the £918

hmm, do i buy now or hold out for the update which should be soon?

    what does applecare offer?

10% off when you spend over £1000 at Currys before 5pm Friday 5th March.

Is that a good discount for an IMAC, topcashback has another 3.5% for currys.

emeraldbugle - 10% off a Mac, if it's not refurbished, and if you're not a student, is pretty much unbeatable! I'm not sure if you'll be able to use the cashback, but you can certainly use a cashback credit card if you have one.

Just bought one now from Comet.

10% off when you spend over £1000 and it comes with free Apple Office. Cash back too.

Any ideas where to get a good price for Apple Care for it?

    Thanks

Another option is buying it from the Apple refurb. through a business and getting the VAT back. That was the best option when I was looking.
