what i bought is a light item so again the posage weight wont come into it and how do paypal know what the postage weight is? all shes provided them with is tracking information

Paypal will know the difference if the original item would only fit as a large letter(they can look at the listing). .You can then scan the envelope and posting details and upload those. There has been quite a few cases on the bay community boards with people successfully defending against this type of scam this way. You could also when you sign for it open it and ask the postman to witness the contents for you.

Also if you have emails where she states this is what she is doing upload those to the paypal dispute

Phone paypal and tell them what is happening. Also as suggested above, never use the same account for buying and selling.

Thanks, think I will set up a seperate account as appears shes been emailing all my sellers and buyers on my feedback and sending me sarcastic comments on the things Ive bought and sold. I am getting really angry with this and the fact ebay are ignoring me isnt helping!

She shouldn't be able to contact any of your buyers and sellers as that facility has been stopped unless she is in a transaction with them herself. The only thing she can do if any of the people you have bought from in the past have live listings is ask seller a question.

Its in a claim and yes it wold probably fit in a large letter but even so the tracking doesnt show paypal what it is just its been delivered. So if I sign for an empty package then Paypal will think Ive got the item

Doesn't matter - they haven't posted within 7 days, so no seller protection.

Once all this is sorted open another ebay account and use it for buying only. That means in the future if you get any problems with a seller they will not be able to effect your selling account

    Hi cyberbob.

Could you please help me with a query I have? Hubby has an account that we use for both buying and selling. If he or I was to open another account for buying only is there anyway future buyers can link the 2 accounts?
I'm thinking for things like if I buy a book on his buying account, read it then sell it on his/my selling account....will buyers be able to link our 2 accounts and see what the book was previously bought for?

    Thanks

If by co incidence someone sellers to you and then buys from you they may notice the same name and details. However it is very difficult to link you otherwise and I wouldn't worry at all about it. It's a lot safer than buying and selling from same account.

Thanks for the reply. This query was the only thing putting us off opening a second account.

Hopefully shes lieing then. Some of the buyers have shops so she could be contacting them. Its really stressing me out
