As I am new to this, I think in future if I see rude people writing poorly worded statements telling me my helpful comments are wrong I will just ignore them as some people seem to think internet arguments are a good hobby, its not for me.
Thanks, ill leave you to abuse others rather than me.
Thank you for your comments. However, I have not abused anybody. Rather you implied that I was ignorant of the DDG yet now fail to point out why my original post was incorrect.
As for poorly written then prehaps you could examine your own posts.
By the way - I do agree with you that there is a lot of nonsense on this website.0 -

For a start, your posts have been nearly trolling. Telling us that while it is the bank's problem it was not their fault has not actually added any value to this thread.
I'm not sure which post you're referring to as your original post. Kurtis didn't directly comment on the first post you made in this thread (even indirectly I think he was more talking to other people), so I'll assume you mean the second one. You seem to have forgotten three key words you said.Kurtis_Blue wrote: »Seems there is a lot of nonsense on this site.
If you cancelled your contract as you said and they kept taking the money then as part of the Direct Debit Guarantee then it is indeed your banks problem and they have done the right thing as per your agreement and refunded you.
This is wrong
That is why your original post is incorrect. You did not just say that it wasn't the bank's fault, but rather you said that Kurtis was wrong. You did not say "Ah, but while it is their problem it is not their fault", you said "You're wrong, it's their fault. If you didn't say those three words then I'd be agreeing with you here, but it seems that in fact you did confuse "fault" and "problem", and have now realised your posts still actually make sense if you pretend you didn't confuse them. Except for those three words that is.As for poorly written then prehaps you could examine your own posts.
I haven't had much problem reading either of your posts, besides you having quote button troubles.0 -

"Perhaps you could start by checking your bank statements - I have little sympathy for you. No doubt you blame Sky for your laziness."
When someone is asking for help, personally, I would find this most rude. If you don't find it abusive then I am sorry, and surprised.0 -

Perhaps you should read the rest of the post that you are quoting instead of picking the first sentence. If you had done so then you will have noted that I gave exactly the same advice that you later repeated. What I wrote originally was:
What you should do is write a letter of complaint to Sky. In the letter ask them to put any money owing on hold until your compaint is settled. If you are then unhappy you can ask Sky for a deadlock letter and refer your complaint to the regulator.
As for it being the bank's fault that cannot be the case as Sky must initiate any direct debit collection from your account.0 -

Thank you for your comments. I do admit that I might have misread Kurtis earlier post I read it as saying that because it was the banks problem (correct) then it was the bank's fault, which it isn't due to the fact that Sky requested the money under a valid direct debit mandate.0
