Dads are often suckers for their little girls. They've learnt from an early age how get their own way. Sometimes you have to put parenting ahead of being liked.
It's the pandered ones that have never seen hard work that always go off to uni or their own place and rack up huge debts. You owe it to her to teach her respect for money before she learns the hard way.0
