If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.0 -
PHEW!!!!
Jo, you had us worried there girl! Congratulations!!!!
I'm so pleased that your birth went well and that you have laid your demons to rest. I hope that you feel empowered by the fact that you made all your own decisions right up to the point that you held your baby in your arms.

excellent - and being flexible enough to go for what was best for baby shows what a great woman and caring mum you are. Now all send me early labour vibes please0

Excellent news Jo - well done, and I am glad that you had a proactive midwife. Think that you did the right thing though re: induction (a cervix that is softening and 1cm is really just what we call a 'multip's os' - the cervix of anyone who has had a baby before). Be proud of yourself for sticking to your guns!
Enjoy!!0 -

That's fab, Jo. I'm so pleased for you. Oh, and it's supposed to hurt isn't it? Nothing to be ashamed of there
I've got 3 months to go and already feel enormous (hence being up at 5am typing this as unable to sleep).
You've been a great role model. I too would love a home birth in an ideal world and am determined not to be part of a production line just to please the medical profession - and in the end, baby's health is all that matters, so if I have to go in to hospital, so be it.
Well done again :T :T :T :T :T0 -
Oh what good news. Congratulations.
Hopefully my own little bean won't be as stubborn as yours (although looking at myself and its Dad I'm not holding out much hope)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
