Blimey, my sister and her husband have split up - all amicable so no huge drama, but my Mum is upset. Can't help thinking that the rounds and rounds of failed fertility treatment may have put a lot of pressure on the relationship. Very sad for them but they are still friends, and going to carry on living together (but separately) for the foreseeable future.

I'm not all that close to my sister, but will give her a call and see if there's anything I can do in a couple of days. I know she wont want to be pestered immediately.

    Crikey!
Good to see that it's amicable, they may just need a break from the pressure!

Bunny, what's happening with plates, bowls (hastily corrected from bowels :rotfl:), crockery, glasses etc for your party?

Does the place provide them (and if so, who has to wash them?)? Or are we going to use disposable ones? If so, do you want me to bring some?

I lived in the same house as my ex for 9 months from when we split until I moved out after he bought me out. Apart from only 1 'terse' moment and the initial trauma of it for both of us we ended up like housemates. I moved straight into the spare room and we split everything 50/50 immediately. We used to go to the supermarket together, buy what we wanted to individually eat and them roughly share the cost of stuff like loo roll.

It weirdly worked and looking back seeing that I finished things he was very good to let me stay but was I guess a good indicator for us staying friends as we have done.

I have a 'sugar' headache. My ex offloaded a load of his Christmas chocolates when I went down there earlier and I really shouldn't have eaten a whole bag of Thornton's Viennese truffles over the last few hours.
