Morning all, feeling the best I have in two weeks today so thats fab :T Nothing much to do today, need to take the dog out and do some exercise but nothing much else. Second (supposed to be third) graze box arrived today so I shall be nibbiling at that all day
Could do some chores I suppose
Lou, sorry to hear about you MIL, it must be so upsetting.
BB, I agree that top was amazing!0 -
Lou definately worth going to the Dr`s too with her & explain what`s going on, it may take some time however as some Dr`s just put it down to old age. Has she been like it for a while as sometimes when somebody has a UTI (urine infection) they can become very forgetful, aggitated, even off their legs sometimes. I would also seriously look into power of atternee.AT LBM 7/1/08 (£24,018.09)- 25/09/11 (£13,032.25) - 26.04.15 - £6,429.70

Yes she lives alone, she is under a mental health nurse who comes out and assesses her regualrly but he just says its "old age congitive impairment" and unless she developes something like dementia or alzheimers then there is nothing much available.
Its so frustrating too as whenever he comes out to assess her she turns into bloomin marvo the memory mans assistant and does really well in the tests, then cant remember that he has been.
She just thinks that we are all lying to her we have already been accused of taking money from her:(
Sorry to hear this Lou. Sounds like its going to be a waiting game. Very difficult if she is getting annoyed / scared and starting to throw round accusations of theft. Hope you are managing to let it go over your head.
If the bank fail to find the bank accounts what about Experion / Equifax. Don't they have details of all your financial accounts?

Quite bizarre. Came back from the comedy club last night at 11 - was really cold (I was very inappropriately dressed!) but clear. Got up this morning and it had snowed!
Just printing off my bank statement - going to go through that this morning. Run on the beach later this afternoon I think, just check the tides.

Not in a good mood.
Got to the place we were having a meal, I could only eat one thing, and that they messed up. My mouth was aching and I kept getting panicky. Pint doesn't like me very much cos I asked him to come home with me, we were meant to talk last night but he went down the pub and got back at !!!! knows when. Lou - a very difficult situation. My Mum and Dad had this with my Nanna. Her GP wouldn't help in the early stages of her dementia when my Dad went to try to talk to him, it took her to fall and the police break in when the neighbour saw the curtains still closed before they would take things seriously.
Fortunately (and that might sound flippant but meant more because of the problems it would have caused in the future) just before she started to become really unwell she gave my Dad access to all her bank accounts. When she went into a home he had access to her funds. Sadly she was only there a short time before she died but it really helped that my Dad was able to just sign for anything needed or already had permissions/powers to do what was needed."Stay Wonky":D

I've lost my job.
The evening supervisor was usually happy for people to leave early and sign out at their regular time as long as the work was done. Only she decided she wasn't ok with that any more and told the main boss that I'd left early and not signed up right and she fired me. No notice since I was on a casual contract (not worth the paper it was printed on) so I've got about £200 to last me until some time in Feb or March, not sure when. I have no idea how I'll do it so I'm just going to bury myself in uni work and ignore it for a bit. Why do I f*** up everything?

Oh Kayleigh,that's bad news.....sorry...
My MIL had Alzheimers, and used to accuse everyone of stealing from her. She came on holiday with us one year and every day she'd hide her handbag somewhere new, but never remember where,so would accuse us (her son,DIL and Grandkids) of stealing it.....she alienated any home help, such as meals on wheels-she accused them of stealing her dinner service!
Birthday girl today (thanks for all the FB greetings!),got new handbag, book, charm for bracelet, and bouquet..lovely..!!Debt-free...and staying that way...0
