WFP's are nothing to do with JSA. There should be a contact number specifically for WFP's on the www.direct.gov.uk website. If there is not, it would be worth asking on the Benefits board, but just ask the question. The reason it was moved is because it appeared to just be a rant.
quidsinquentin, your CAB contact is correct. For the CWP's, each postcode is allocated to a weather station. In theory this should be the closest to the postcode, but it does not always work out that way in practice.Gone ... or have I?0 -

So in theory the temp/circumstances at a given location could be at the point where CWP's should kick in but because of how the system is arranged it might not?WFP's are nothing to do with JSA. Yes, that is correct. Unfortunately it would be impossible to monitor the temperature at every location in the UK. Having said that, the system does tend to even itself out, in that there will be times where an address may be above zero but the weather station will be below zero.Gone ... or have I?0 -
again,,,, with respect,,,and as explained fully above,,,, the Winter Fuel Allowance people are the ones who told me that when unemployed and over 60, that the JSA pay the allowance, and at one point a lady at JSA said yes they should pay it automatically , even tho somebody else had said no they dont....
this link http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Pensions...nt/DG_10018657 doesnt give me the information other than stating that I am entitled to it....... but when I phone them,,, as stated above,,,, they say that the JSA should pay it.....it would be worth asking on the Benefits board, but just ask the question. The reason it was moved is because it appeared to just be a rant.

I think the general thing is that they try to get over 60's to claim Pension Credit, and possibly that might make the unemployment figures lower.....No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
I turned 60 in March last year, OH is 64, and has been getting the full winter fuel payment since he was 60. This year he got half of it, and I got a letter telling me I was getting the other half. I haven't got it yet, so I rang the WF helpline, only to be told that I should be paid by the pensions dept. But I explained, I don't get a pension, I get SDA instead, so I was told to ring the job centre, and like the OP, they claim no knowledge of it. I've also been back and forth and can get nowhere with it. OH got his (£125) in November. Rang the helpline again this morning, they promised to look into it, but I won't hold my breath. Oh! and they also told me that payments can take up to June to be sent out.0

Write a letter to your local BDC (benefit delivery centre) explaining your circumstances, I have found this easier than having to phone a and then being told to phone b then to be told it should be a.
dishmop can I say thought that although you are having problems regarding your WFP exactly the same situation is happening with the CWP
Type your postcode here and you will get your local BDC.
