Seller charging £25.00 postage

I was looking for an MP3 player and saw one with about 1 hour to go and it was selling for around £2 - until I checked the postage - £25....

Is this allowed. It is obvious he is charging excessive postage so he can keep his ebay fees down....

I was going to bid, but refuse to pay £25 postage on principle....

It is termed fee avoidance and should be reported to ebay. This is one thing that ebay often act quite quickly on as they are losing a cut of the FVF!

not sure if ebay are that hot on it to be honest soo...

i've reported the powerseller computernparts for doing this on about 40 items (he/she does it on practically all his/her auctions) and they've not done a thing

working out how much fees had been avoided by them (using very basic averages) it came to about £4000

why should i pay if they don't have to? it's a complete joke

  • afwul isnt it to think these people making money in this way, or is it saving money in this way? depends on how you veiw it i suppose. I didn't know you all cared for ebays' profits so much. (surely thier the only ones that being affected by this)

i say good luck to those seller with the sense to avoid the extrotionate costs Ebay/paypal levy on the poor and needy. i mean you don't have to buy from them if you dont want,

why should doing that upset people so much ? is it because the bargain people think they're getting isn't real when they look closley at the deal. i thought that was the general thing on ebay, you buy some elses junk at a perium.

lol.. this is a money saving site about screwing the big companies and saving money. would have thought everyone would be happy to see another person getting one over.

Nothing from stopping you doing the same,

also say if a £50 item is avaliable for£5 and £30 p+p you still are getting a bargain so everyone wins apart from ebay them selves ..

If there was a way for you to avoid paying these EXTORTIONATE rates.........you would. :-/

Why complain when someone else does ?

If he was ripping people off with his prices or misleading buyers, then you may have cause for concern. :-/

Maybe.......just maybe.... because he avoids these fees, he is able to reduce the costs of the items overall :-/

Don't allow yourself to be the police for ebay. ::)

BE THE POLICE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO USE IT :)

Give ebay nothing..... what do they do when you need help when you get ripped off by someone. ??
