Do you use your garage for parking or junk?

Definitely junk. I long for the day that I could have a nice big heated double garage with electric doors which I'd enter without having to go outside. Sadly, I think I'd have to wait for my lottery numbers to come up first.0

Another question would be, if you have a garage and don't use it for your car how many still tell the insurance co. that it's garaged overnight rather than parked on street/drive.0

I'm very lucky as our garage is 1 1/2 car lengths, so the front part is used for storing our camper (used in warmer weather!) and the back is used for all our gardening bits, plus any other junk we have. Car goes on the drive - I told my insurance company that the car would be on the drive.0

I told my insurance company I park on street, road is very quiet around 20 vehicles a day. Unfortunately last November on 5th, some swine hit my car so had to claim.0

I tell my insurers that I park on the driveway. Even though we live in a newish house, the garage is too narrow for our cars even with the mirrors folded - You can get 2 of our 3 cars in but can't get out of the door! The man without a signature.0

If I had a garage the car would definitely be in it.
I used to have a double-width one, with a workshop, which was ideal.
When I buy a house it will have a garage .... preferably double-width so there's room to park the car in it and have the doors open to get things in/out and to vacuum easily.
My bike will be on a wall bracket, everything else will be kept to a minimum and on a storage unit or good shelving.
If you have junk, get a £100 shed.0 -

My insurance is actually cheaper parking on my drive than it is if I tell them it's in the garage. Quite a few of my mates on my car forum found the same thing. I have no idea why.
Personally I use my garage for junk and my car. Got my mini parked up at the back, and then tonnes of junk stacked everywhere the car isn't. God help me the day I try to dig the car out! This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -
I keep a pile of junk in my garage. To be fair though it still gets me from A to B.0
