Hello and welcome gillian576, Taadaa, kpw76, vodawitch1, herewegoagain2010, bunny_lover, Glamazon, New2theMoneyGame - welcome to the OS forum too New2, and welcome back turbo5019; MrsMc will be along to add you all to the front page list soon
philsmum, as Helen Jelly will confirm, we do not fail on the GC, we have learning curves but we keep trying
Poohbear, you seem to have things sussed pretty well :T
rowsew - "crawling in with head hung in shame to declare another massive overspend (£77.74!!!!!). Can't really explain even to myself why (although a birthday involving 2 special meals, and a SC holiday in Cornwall for half term might go some way towards it" - some people have a separate budget for ‘celebrations’ or ‘eating out’ ‘holiday’ etc. its up to you, obviously, its your GC and you must run it as it suits you but separating some of these things out would give you a truer picture of your grocery spend; hth
Casper, hope you’re feeling much better soon
another NSD for me again today - must add them up for BMF's challenge - but I'll have to shop tomorrow, probably a spend of between 2 and 3 squid so not too bad.
well done :Tto those on target, and for those who are over (like me) remember we have a new month coming up soon so another opportunity;
Good luck for these last few days of Feb;... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

0ver again this month, social life getting in the way (i count meals out), plus offers on fruit and veg at shops i only get to once a week have taken me over.
Haven't mealplanned for a while so need to do that again, and also make a point of meal planning from the full freezer, and from the storecupboards.
I have considered taking the cost of meals out away from the challenge, but this way i have one target to consider and month on month am spending less so it is keeping my eye on it.
Another 3 days for me so i will think hard before opening the purse.nov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.
Me, 10 yo dd, and the dog. all food and drinks, in and out, plus household shopping.0 -

Is there a new thread for this one yet please? I haven't quite finished February yet, as mine runs from the 1st day of the month till the last, so last day will be Sunday.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Can you please put me down for £300 again as I am determined to make it this month.0
-
Well I'm up to £249.36 - which is £50 more than I'd want it to be at this stage  - can't move in freezer and cupboard for stuff - the cat has loads of food and I have plenty of loo rolls, so really just need f+v (famous last words)
Am probably going to do lunch on Mothering Sunday - just need to find how many I'm catering for - have a chicken in the freezer that does 3-4 - but my Dad doesn't eat chicken , so will need to find a bit of beef too - but can probably do the meal for £10 - so will try and do next month for £50 and stop going to the supermarket.
Need to check what I've got out in the shed - definately beans and tuna.... that may appear on the menu regularly this month!

Morning all
I'm still in Feb-2 more days,
MrsM please put me down for £180 for March, will declare Feb total after Sunday.
At the moment I am under, but DH has first OU tutorial tomorrow in Rhos-on-Sea,so not only do we have a 3 hour journey(each way)have to take butties or eat out AND pass several supermarkets on the way:D
NSD yesterday, made 1 big loaf of white(ish-sneaked in w/meal flour and mashed potato)and pizza for tea.
Was in baking mode tho',so also made oatibix brownies(no weetabix)and nutty seed bars thingys, very good shame DH doesn't eat them. Will do towards pack ups tomorrow.
I will have to go in to lecture with DH cos of his eyesight -or rather lack of it,I'll be taking knitting-history course but not French Revolution;)
Good day all
