O2 will overhaul its monthly tariffs next week for the first time since 2002.
The new plans will be launched on 13 July and offer better value than the current range.
The operator seems to be responding to pressure from rivals.

Is this liekely to mean any better cashback offers on o2 phones?? (Either with the old deals as they phase out, or the new ones as they come in?)
I've been trying to find a good cashback deal for a few months now and i can't - except on orange. WHich would mean i'd have to change my number.
Was about to give up and go for an ok, but not that good, w800 on vodafone deal. But if there will be a new batch of offers like there was with the orange animal plans then i'll hang on another week.stay lucky!

Sounds good to me. I am hopefully going back on O2 next month so hope I can still get a deal with the phone I wantWycombe Till I Die0

Damn, I've just ordered a 8 months for 99p cashback deal phone from cpw. If they do start to give out better cashback deals then I'm going to be a bit peed off. Could this be a way round the problem if the newer cashback deals are better - The phone is due on Monday(10th july) so later that week perhaps I could return the phone under their 7 day guarantee and then re-order with the cheaper packages?0

Yeah you could do that. It could work to your advantage as there are no guarantees that the new cashback deals WILL actually be better.
I always found O2 deals to be fairly decent to be honest. Didn't think they needed an overhaul - unlike some *cough* voda *cough*DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society
