Things You Never Thought You Could Sell
Hey everyone. This is my first go at starting a new thread that may help people. So if it's ,erm, not very good just ignore it as I no doubt sure you will.
Right, the concept is for people to post things that they have sold on auction sites like ebay. But thats not just it, it has to be things you would'nt normally think you would get money for but you did.
Weird things like empty fragrance bottles, I mean who would want a empty fragrance bottle?? But poeple do as I have just found out when I sold my wife's empty Angel perfume bottle for £5.50.
This may help people who have things lying around which they don't think they could sell and acquire the little bits of money to help to get debt free. So hope its a sucess.
Thought the members who have run out of things to ebay in their houses might want to have a look at this thread hope it helps ellie
I once sold a carrier bag from Hersheys in Times Square that I hd brought back off hols with 2 bars of out of date Hersheys choc inside.....was gonna chuck it but stuck it on for a 'laugh' and got about £6 for it....all above board re condition and fact choc was inedible etc....so that was a bit of a surprise. Ebay is odd, things I think will fly out don't and things you think won't sell do well.....its all quite hit and miss if you ask me and also seasonal and a bit up and down, but I shall keep going.0 -
Ooh them baby clothes on ebay remind me that i have hundreds and i mean hundreds of kids clothes stashed in cupboards, bags, boxes and suitcases all over the house
I have been instructed that i have to wait and find out whether my friend is having a boy or a girl before im allowed to get rid of any of it though
I also need to go through the girls room and sort out there clothes that are too small for them not looking forward to stepping foot in there though
Baby is sleeping and girls and quietly playing on their ds's just activated my sellers account on amazon, whats the betting if i start listing the books on there one of the kids will start :rotfl:0 -
It's not mine! I was was laughing at the spelling, and the seller sounds like a nightmare 'I will not sell rubbish' lol, was on local bargain finder, was wondering if it was worth buying to split up and sell on...
oops, I'm a bit tired today ... sorry !
I am relieved mind you, when I saw all the spelling mistakes and the bit about not selling rubbish I was a bit worried :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070 -
moneymabel or mambury - who had the remote cars?
Had a thought - may not work. Car boots seem like the best bet cos people can see them working. So what about doing a video of them zooming around at home and put it on youtube and then link it to ebay listing? I once saw a car listing on ebay that had a video of the car engine purring and to be honest it went for far more than it should have !! People had a bit more confidence seeing the video I think.
Now I'm typing it, it seems sillier than when it was in my headVR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

Baby books are usually easy to sell, especially if you have 'bundles' of the same series/characters. Netmums might be a good place to advertise them, there's some free, too.
How long is reasonable to wait for an item from ebay? It was advertised as 'swift delivery, first class' and marked dispatched two weeks ago. Seller doesn't reply to messages...any advice?Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Here are a couple of adults only auction sites.......but ummmm cant remember if someone has already mentioned them or not.....

Go to contaact seller, click 'item not received' and it should tell you the date you should have received it by. If thats passed and the sellers not responding them contact eBay.0
