Yay Munchki!! It's so nice to hear you feeling positive-good for you hun :-) Concentrate on your business for a while, a job will come along when it's right. No good dumbing down the cv if it's just going to get you a job which won't challenge you, you'd be bored and even more depressed.
Get out there and use all that experience you have to sell yourself ( er- not in that way!!!)
    Good luck hun :-)

Hales, thanks so much for keeping the commitments list up to date. It seems quite work intensive - I hope you don't regret volunteering. Just to let you know though how much appreciated it is as it really, really works. I'm so motivated to get everything "greened" out!

I've cleaned my house from top to bottom today, just got to hoover the stairs which is my next job. I'm then going to spend the evening catching up on Merlin (I'm still on the first series and I think the second one has finished!) and listing on turbolister ready for the week.

So, when you update again, would you mark off cleaning the house and listing stuff already sorted for me?

Tomorrow I'm doing my big shop and then I'm off up to the loft to sort out my next ebay-fest.

    Bl**dy Ebay!
Just had one of my listings removed (and it had a bid on it!) because it had the name of a designer in the listing - this was a description of an edge to edge jacket (knitting pattern) in the style of - if you see what I mean!
The name for this style of jacket has gone into common parlance now (whoever makes it) - just like "Hoover" has for "vacuum cleaner".
I def was not trying to list any rip off goods! But before I was allowed to list anything again I had to take a 10 question tutorial - Didn't get all questions right because I was way out of my depth there!
Then Ebay's picture server went down - so it took 20 mins to load a picture up! Then told me it couldn't!
    Sorry just needed to vent!

  • Oooh where are you going, Munchki?

Was supposed to be home to collect a parcel by 12.30 but this was thwarted by the inlaws...god knows whats happening now. Distractions very welcome! Lol. I think I'm gonna set up that blog...should I start it now, about our saving and preparations to go, or just start it when we finally fly out?

Thanks for the idea, guys :)

Wayne, the son of a work colleague of mine was getting married last year. He is renowned for absolutely loving Henderson's and having it with every meal. So my colleague contacted Hendersons and arranged for a small bottle for every guest with the label changed to state the names of the bride and groom and (as far as I can remember) the date of the wedding. It went down really really well, with everyone at the wedding saying how much they loved the thought.

Not sure if that gives you any ideas, but thought I'd mention it.

Thanks, do you mean to design a label or just saying that it could sell if i take the opputunity up to sell it?

As for the couple days away, off to Glenrothes in Scotland to see some very dear friends! Always perfect for a good kick up the backside!

sending big hugs to everyone who needs one :grouphug: xx

I have managed to list some more items on ebay today, decided to brave the cold and selected one box from the garage ... have listed 5 things from it on ebay and sorted the remaining items from it into carboot and charity. I know it's only one box out of quite a few I have sitting there but at least it's a start.

Thanks for the advice about the kids clothes, going to put a couple of things on and test the water and I'm off half term week so I'll make it my mission to spend that week washing, ironing, photographing etc so it will all be ready to go.

I haven't done any dooyoo reviews although I have made a couple of product suggestions, so here's hoping I'll be able to review those in a couple of days time.

Didn't win Euromillions last night but I know we had some of those numbers in the syndicate at work so here's hoping I'll get some cashback at work on Monday morning.
