Does anyone know how to use Facebook etc to promote businesses? I'd like to create some stuff for my Usborne business, but I don't know how to do it!

Create a Facebook group, invite your friends to it, get them to invite their friends to it etc

Create a Page, invite friends to be fans etc

Adverts - best way is to do the Cost Per Click, that way you get lots of impressions and it only costs you when someone clicks the advert. You can set a daily limit but the currency is in $ USD.

Hi everyone!
I'm really trying to keep up with this but I seem to forever be 10 pages behind...

So my total for January is -£30 (I only joined about a week ago). I bought a purse for £20 from Gumtree (I haven't received it so I'm starting to worry a bit) and £10 for petrol for running around picking up lots of freebies.
OH started listings on Ebay and Amazon yesterday and I've just spoken to him and the first book has been sold for about £5 profit. So I'm really chuffed! That's the first bit of profit for us! Yeepee!

An idea that might be useful to others... I picked up about 50 free books last week and then we had a look on Ebay and Amazon to see how much they were going for. So I've ended up with about 30 books which are basically worth nothing. I was thinking I'd try to sell them at a car boot later in the year. Then, yesterday, one of my workmates saw me on this thread (on my lunch break, no rest for me!) and she was like "Oh! MSE! I love it!", so I told her what I was doing and she asked me to bring a list of my leftover books and said she might want to buy some from me for 50p or £1. And then I got what I think is an even better idea... I'm going to ask her for a list of her unwanted books and try to do some book swapping. Only before I decide which of her books I want, I'll go and check on Amazon how much the going rate is and then I can pick the most expensive ones!
I've also offered to do some book swapping to another friend and he said he's up for it, so there might be even a bit more to be made there!
So I'm having a good day!

LizD many people would hapilly spend 30+ on duvet covers if it was handmade and pretty. Probably more for part of a co-ordinated set tailor made for them

Can someone explain BB to me please?? I joined played my wager etc then I got £10 bonus plus £5 this morning. I played back £2 and now have £13 bonus and £9 cash. now withdrawal is £50 minimum i think and it uses cash before bonus so I guess i need to just keep playing and hope i hit £50... just won another £5
