Hi all
desperately tired after two late nights and pushing the broken buggy through the snow taking DS to swimming! So can I do my week's commitments tomorrow please, I love the turning red to green thing, at first I thought someone was talking about Ebay sales! - when it's been bid on the price goes green, type thing. Will have another read through the tips as well tomorrow as brain too tired to take it all in right now, 'night *yawn*...I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
important: just checking ebay and the mandatory free p&p is being done away with they are now setting maximum postal cost limits as of 8 Feb - not before time!
Amen to that-it was bloody ridiculous!
Just taken something off of a individual listing and put them back on as a job lot am sick of the sight of them in my bedroom mocking me that i've wasted my money on tat! (thats the items not the OH btw!)0 -
I've deviated away from my monthly commitment a bit today. Have written some Dooyoo though and listed on Ebay so still good.
Need to offset the start up costs of my new website with money from this challenge which is a pain.0 -
Hi All,
I have 10 pages to catch up today so posting this now. Then I will try and catch up
How long do you let your auctions run on bay. I have always left mine for 10 days thinking they would get more views but my Son reckons 3 days the best as people don't want to wait that long.Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100 -
Ooooh I love this commitment board idea! Gotta sort out this washing pile and than sleep (8hrs since Wednesday is NOT enough sleep) so i'll write my little list tomorrow I think, I could really use the focus atm tbh.
EDIT: It will actually probably be a pretty big list :rotfl:0 -
Just signed up to deliver the free paper. only 1 small round - about 2hrs including paper folding. Really never wanted to do this but actually feel quite good about it as we really do need the money.
Sold 3 things yesterday.
Not clear enough about what I'm going to do this week to sign up to commitment board today but might do so tomorrow.
Feeling absolutely exhausted tonight. Always exhausted at the moment but extra so right now.
Haven't even worked out my January totals yet. Def in profit though with about £50 of stuff to sell on as well.

Hi Jo, I don't know how much you get paid for the free paper round but you could increase it by asking in shops or businesses in your area if they would like to have their leaflets or business cards delivered. I do this at the same time as delivering my own leaflets so i am already out there.

LilacPixie, do you have any thoughts on that? I sew and those would be quite easy to do. Do you think people would want specific characters or could I just make generic stuff and sell on Folksy, ebay etc?
Liz D - I used to chat to other mums on a mum and baby forum and we did have a discussion about the lack of choice available for cot bed (junior bedding) there is. I know you can get Disney Princess, Peppa Pig etc for about 13.00 plus but sometimes you want something that little bit different.
I had a friend who was making bunting in a cowboy theme with the sheriffs badge, etc and that would be great this year thinking of Woody in Toy Story and Toy Story 3 comes out in the Summer.
My little girl has a lovely junior bed which she's going to be in for the next 2-3 years and I'd love some pretty bedding for herSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070 -

There seems to be a huge gap in the market for just pretty fabric that is not specific to a program. My girls love butterflys and fairys and I really really struggled with finding some and had to settle for pink gingham. ALot of my mum friends have said the same if its not from a TV prog then its impossible to find.
totally agree with you, there really is a gap in the market for something pretty for little girls and boysSealed Pot Challenge Member 1273VSP 2011 Member 92 - 723.070 -
Hi Guys, i've been trawling through the past pages and can't find where to sign up to the commitment of making £10,000 in 2010, could someone point me in the right direction or is it too late now?
